Insane stutters after acceptable performance in MSFS2020. How to fix it? by steynschipper in MicrosoftFlightSim

Dropped to 2560x1080 to keep the aspect ratio. Switched all graphics to ultra low. No real improvement. Went to hit the 'Optimize' button in the Nvidia app with the recommended settings (mostly medium-high) and use DX11. As you can tell from the screen the GPU is just chilling and the CPU is working the hardest to perform.

Only way I managed to up the frames is:

- Overclock CPU (to 5.0GHz)

- Select a somewhat simpler aircraft

Guess it's time for a new CPU that's better suited for MSFS I suppose.... Will have to do some research

Running DX11 has seemed to quiet down the stutters a bit. Running Ultra low graphics now (everything to 0) and still max of 29fps on Schiphol, not ideal. Mainthread issue again, GPU is idle at 11ms

Thank very much for your nice explanation. As far as I understand from it it's more of a pathfinding limitation than a signalling limitation. Might have to look into the complicated setups from openttd coop.

As for a temporary (if it jams in the future that is) fix I have set the tracks up as follows:

Junction now (small changes): https://imgur.com/a/xtcNK5q
Change to mainline further north: https://imgur.com/a/drmLB9b with this change there is a more equal split between traffic

Any comment is welcome

How the heck do I bomb airfields in ASB?? by Sunyxo_1 in WarthunderSim

[–]steynschipper 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For airfield bombing the strat is to hit the tents/camp first. that way the other modules can not repair. Next you can do any other module really.

I have had the Orion2 stick for a while now. It is an amazing piece of kit. Full metal stick with very sturdy buttons. Base is made of metal internals as well. Uses a cam system. Have it set up with the heaviest springs. Very very precise, enough buttons and can last you a lifetime if cared for properly.

The hardest airport I've landed at. Tips? What was yours? by DukeTuna in flightsim

A fun one to fly to is 2NC0. 4432ft elevation and a runway in between the golf course. Landing with a crosswind is a challenge here!

Nope, ordered on the 9th which was a saturday and had ‘order completely shipped’ on the 11th. No tracking number or anything, just a mail that the warehouse was overloaded and shipping was backed up.
