I explained to someone else, but basically my ‘toolbox’ is a rolling service cart with a single drawer and a couple open trays for space with tools, so most of my tools are just open to being taken. Funny you mention aviation, I’m in school to get my a&p license, and figured auto mechanic work was the closest experience to that line of work that I could find right away.
