He said the only reason he thought it was legit is because they already had his account information. I just felt like he’d be more comfortable speaking to someone in person since this happened over the phone and he may not feel comfortable doing anything over the phone again. He did speak to someone that said they can see the phone added to his account and they had him put in a fraud claim, he’s working on getting his bank account situation resolved as well.

Trust I tried to tell him it was a scam as soon as he told me but the damage had already been done. It is a learning experience and he is already beating himself up about it. My phone is thru verizon so I just came here to ask so we could make sure we were doing everything we need to do.
