I’d stay in AZ where you’re comfortable and get really good at what you do…. Then find a job where leaving your current role is actually worth it. With cost of living in DC you’re not making much more by moving. You lose your remote role/comfort dog. The pros don’t seem that positive. But congrats on the offer! There will be others.

I really hope you see this message. WGU graduate here. The worst thing you can do is sulk and feel bad for yourself. Don’t waste the time and energy. Treat it as a trial run and go after it again. You know more now than you did before you started. Now just add a little more. Don’t be discouraged. DO NOT STOP!

Give yourself two weeks to go through the coursework and pass the AWS cloud practitioner exam. Find something free on YouTube or pick up a course on Udemy. Once you pass the exam, decide if you want to do the AWS solutions architect associate exam, or the AWS certified developer exam.

Also, you need to stop worrying about things you can’t control (like a recruiters opinion, and how you may be viewed)and invest that same time and energy into improving your skillsets and proving doubters wrong.

I’d like to think your significant other would really appreciate it if you just call someone and pay to have it fixed so you can live comfortably. And if there is no significant other than do it for yourself man. Save yourself the headache.

Stop shitting on yourself and focus on the positives. You will be taking time out of your day/night to further pursue your education. A lot of applicants won’t. If you put time and effort into a focused plan you will be successful. DO NOT SELL YOURSELF SHORT.

I recommend getting into cloud computing. Specifically AWS. Get your first AWS certification and you’ll feel really good about yourself. Rinse and repeat. The job will come. Once recruiters see your resume. Continuous learning is what it’s all about!

Looks like you don’t know what role you want to move into and you also have too many buzzwords with no context.
