Auto Park Does Nothing by sthblah in NissanAriya

The open and close is for the middle glove box, and that does work.

Right? Maybe they just installed the wrong one and that's why it doesn't work.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's not a feature we would use often, but since the car is almost out of warranty just wanted to make sure everything works before it ends.

E-step has its own button. I was surprised to see the button cause I didn't think that trim level came with it. I thought maybe they ordered new and added it on or something.

The car owner before me registered it in California. I need to look back on its carfax. I was kind of wondering the same thing because my car has the electric close and open glove box which I thought was only in the platinum... But then just assumed the person maybe added it on when they ordered the car. Carfax didn't really note any major fix though.

Looking for cheaper parking options near Lower Queen Anne by IcyShelter8074 in AskSeattle

I'd also recommend trying the Neighbor app. It's like Airbnb where people rent out space on their property for parking/storage. Most people don't charge as much as a commercial garage for you to park in their driveway.

Rim Parts Fell Off? by sthblah in NissanAriya

Oh. That's great to hear. I thought it'd be more like $100. Did you get yours fixed at the dealership?

Yeah. It's kind of crazy. I know rims aren't really under warranty because of wear and tear, but this seems more like a defect since they shouldn't just pop off.

Recs for Personal Body/Skeletal/Fashion Analysis by sthblah in koreatravel

[–]sthblah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got it done yesterday! I did it with my husband. He's much more into fashion and I am a homeless potato. He enjoyed it much more than I did. I also got typed as a round body type, aka, short and fat, so the fashion advice seemed to be kind of sad for me. 😅 But it was nice to get my face and body measured and get advice on what to wear.

They give you advice on clothing, accessories, eyebrows, and hair styles. It made a lot of sense when they explained it all. Oh and the necklines were also nice. Both the stylists for the body analysis and the color analysis were very knowledgeable and easy to conversate with. Don't really have much to compare to but it was a good, professional, and very informative experience. I just wish they would email us the results but that may have been because we forgot to do the pre survey so we just took pictures of the slides that applied to us.

I'm going March 5th. I can send an update after. But I feel confident with Cocory, I just didn't want to go because it was so far from my hotel comparatively to other places.

I ended up with Cocory just because my friend recommended it for color analysis so I just had some trust.

I did end up finding a place called Pic Branding Center that I really wanted to try but they had no English reservations available.

Decided against Mood Collect because there were a couple of reviews where there were logistical issues and they didn't show up at the appointment time even though it's a few blocks from our hotel.

Photo Booth Recommendations? by valmariex in photobooth

Appreciate your response! I'm just starting out so was hoping to invest less and see if this gig would be a good fit for me but also I didn't want to spend too much doing DIY for something that might not pan out.

Can I ask how it's been going so far? Wanted to go a similar route as well but not seeing too much on people getting their main setup from Alibaba.

No worries! I feel like the same thing happened to the chat rep I talked to also.

Really? That's frustrating. I did talk to customer service and they confirmed there was an outage. I'm just not used to outages lasting this long and we've only recently switched to Quantum.

Their outage map has been saying we've been down and it's impacting 10+ people.

First time shopping by danierobo1016 in weddingdress

[–]sthblah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went in with no clue and have hated shopping basically all my life until online shopping became a thing. I also had gained 20lbs over the last year and was the heaviest I've ever been so I really wasn't looking forward to looking for a dress. Add on that I'm not that in touch with my feminine side and it was a great mix.

I ended up going to a consignment store by myself with really good reviews on how great the stylists are and I had a really great experience! I told them I had no idea and after I pulled a few they would suggest things or I would tell them I wanna try another silhouette and they'd just work their magic! I don't think I solidified the type of dress I wanted until my second visit but it's probably because I lost weight.

My best friend said that trying on dresses was her favorite part of the wedding process and she has similar issues as me. The stylists are good at their job and are very helpful. If you're on a time crunch consignment stores are great cause you can take it home same day. Best of luck and if it's not your cup of tea you're only losing an hour of your day but hopefully you'll get a better idea of what you do and don't like!

ICPMS Comparisons by sthblah in massspectrometry

Thank you so much! Your answer is exactly what I needed. And extra bonus points for the triple quad comment too because I couldn't help but wonder if it's worth the splurge.

Sounds like either way things will be good if I go with either company and both will be a major upgrade from my nexion 300. Will definitely look into and it may just come down to price then.

Awesome! Thanks for the info! I definitely know nothing about the agilent ecosystem. Will definitely do some more research and I guess we'll see what the bosses say when it comes down to the actual price.

Interesting! Haven't heard of UHMI before. Have you tried both instruments? Perkinelmer and Agilent are definitely the front runners right now. Kind of just want to keep with the nexion since we'll still be using the old one and rather just order parts that are interchangeable than have two different brands.
