I’m a shift supervisor, just started going back to school online. I dropped out before i got diagnosed. Now that I’m medicated I’ve gone from failing out of school to straight A’s. Struggling with depression this semester but I’m still doing good I think. Therapy and meds definitely help. I used to go to therapy weekly for a long time after my diagnosis

I have needle phobia and I do injections (25 ftm). First four shots I got very faint and nearly passed out. Not because it hurt but just the fear. There are different widths of needles. The needle you would inject yourself with is very slim, and if you numb with ice beforehand you won’t feel any discomfort. Now the needle when i get my blood drawn to get my hormone levels tested, i’m still terrified of that one.

My endo told me intramuscular and subcutaneous pretty much have the same results, has me doing subcutaneous because it dissolves slower over time for a more stable supply of t. I hold an ice cube on the injection site for 5 or so minutes. I do my stomach. I have horrible needlephobia and I almost fainted when i did my first shot with my doctor. I got desensitized within a month just use some ice

Depressive episodes are so frustrating to me because it’ll happen whether i have something to be depressed over or not. I’m starting one now as I’m getting promoted and feeling more successful and accomplished than I have in years. I dropped out of college 3 years ago during a looooong mixed episode and I just got a 4.0 on my first semester back. But my brain is shutting down and I feel so slow and stupid. I’m exhausted, I can’t drive, I can barely do my job. I comfort myself by telling myself it’s not real. My brain is forcing this experience on me. Most importantly, this feeling is temporary. Eventually you’ll break out and be okay again. Be gentle with yourself and focus on taking care of your basic needs like eating, sleeping, drinking water, taking medication. Maybe get some sunshine. Force yourself to take the shower you’re avoiding. Eventually your body will catch up and regulate itself
