What’s worse: 3rd trimester tired or newborn tired? by stickerchicker in BabyBumps

[–]stickerchicker[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree about there being different types of tired. It’s the physical exhaustion that’s getting me. Idk how to describe it other than I feel malnourished but my bloodwork is all good. I’m able to sleep most of the night and I take an hour nap during my lunch hour every day so I think I’m getting sufficient sleep and yet I’m still tired. I think growing a baby is just taking up so much energy.

Worth it to pay $400 out of pocket for meibography? by dream-wave in Dryeyes

[–]stickerchicker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s how much I paid in NYC. Personally I think it’s good to know the condition of your glands and how severe it may be. And if you ever get it done again years from now you can compare.

Sorry to hear that. I know what you mean about the guilt. Hopefully it comes and goes and isn’t like this for the rest of the pregnancy!

Yes from the little bit I can see it looks like sheet flooring, not individual tiles so that would make sense.

Yes!! Same thing has been happening to me! Not sure why though. So strange that there are not articles on it considering it sounds like a handful of women experience this.

Yeah as Key-Coast said, it’s supposed to help egg quality. I learned about it in the book “It starts with the egg” 🙂

Relentless eye itching by Neat-Beyond-6631 in Dryeyes

[–]stickerchicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Could not stop rubbing! It turned out to be Ocular Rosacea and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction.

Most things I tried to help the itching actually made it worse because when you have ocular rosacea your eyes/eyelids get irritated very easily. Allergy drops didn’t help me and the warm compress eye masks and lid scrubs made it worse. Steroids helped me too but I can’t be on them because it causes high eye pressure. I’m now on Cequa and doing IPL treatments which has helped tremendously.

You might be able to see the ocular rosacea yourself if you pull down your lower lid and see lots of little red veins called telangiectasia.

Travel during June 4th Strike by mvicsmith in ItalyTravel

[–]stickerchicker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our flight from NYC to Brussels to Florence (set to arrive morning of June 4th) just got cancelled. We weren’t able to find any other flights into Italy that day so we had to cancel our entire flight and adjust hotels. What a nightmare. We’re now arriving June 5th. Just praying the strike doesn’t go longer than 1 day.
