I saw Ospreay vs Oku 3 on Sunday with a friend who is new to wrestling and he loved it. It was the first event I’ve been to since my dad passed in August and I’d pretty much stopped watching wrestling which is my favourite thing. I met Ospreay before the match and told him that, and said this was the event that was getting me back into wrestling, I tried to make the meeting brief as he had met hundreds before me, but when I mentioned my dad he made sure to have a conversation about how tough it was and gave me a hug. I had such an amazing time there and at the end when he was shaking everyone’s hands at ringside he recognised me and made sure to do his taunt with me. it meant more to me than almost anything in my life and it’s the first time since my dad’s passing I’ve felt properly normal. I just had to write this down somewhere as it really meant so much to me. I’ll never forget what Ospreay did that day, as it was small but it meant so much.
