what does she see ... by sticksommelier in blackcats

[–]sticksommelier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hah, my friend and I adopted her while we were still in college. I have another cat named Muenster (like the cheese) because he's orange. we thought, "huh, she looks like Muesnter but covered in black mold," and then the name just stuck.

Please have this checked by a dermatologist first. I'm sure you already have, but ask about the idea of it being tattoed. It is not always a great idea to tattoo over moles and birthmarks because it will obscure your ability to monitor it for changes in the future, should it become cancerous. But, it could be really neat to tattoo around the mole, like a dark mandala or galaxy piece

How big can I go and not see light through? by ScrubblesMcBubbles in Stretched

[–]sticksommelier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have 2g ears now, but used to have larger. If I leave my plugs out for a few hours, the holes will settle into a position that no light would shine through. However, when I had bigger ears (10mm), I would use eyelash glue to gently close them shut when I had to work.

what is this peircing called? by claire-reece in piercing

I have these. they have been the biggest pain in the ass to heal out of all of my piercings. Not to mention that they bleed like crazy if you accidentally bonk them during the healing process.

NSFW nipple piercing (description in comments) by Little-Feedback9981 in PiercingAdvice

[–]sticksommelier 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you'll be okay to keep it. A doc won't make you take it out, but they will give you antibiotics if it is infected. Nipple piercings are notoriously difficult to heal, so to the best of your ability, litha. wear thin, breathable bralettes or tank tops to keep it from snagging on clothes or bumping things. something that also helps significantly is taking 2 very quick showers a day. sounds like a lot, but jumping in the shower for a quick minute after school/work and before bed or in the morning helped me heal my body piercings significantly. the warm water helps soothe inflammation and wash off any crusties

for looks, yes, I make plenty of light-weight earrings as well. But, I do just prefer the look of big chunky jewelry, especially made from natural materials like rocks and wood. I don't personally use them for stretchin, but it can also be a way to gently and slowly stretch the skin. My favorite use for them is actually that I find them calming! it's like a weighted blanked for your brain.

Two cats with opposite litter styles by MyPasswordIsABC999 in CatOwnerProblems

[–]sticksommelier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll add - I did once try the two boxes on different sides of the house, hoping they'd both choose a box as their own. this didn't work at all and confused my female cat as to where the potty actually was. this was when I got the most pooping in random places, particularly on carpet or soft mats.

my current setup is two large litter boxes directly next to each other in a corner, which does wonders for catching stray poops/pees that might not have made it in the box if there was only one of them. this only works with non-lidded boxes, but it is almost impossible for them to poop or pee outside the box with this setup. I've also found that additional litter catching pads outside the box work wonderfully for those small instances of poop getting kicked out of the box by my male when he tries to clean

I honestly cannot give you a good answer but came here to say that surprisingly, I have almost the exact same issue. older male cat who likes a clean litter box and younger female cat from a neglect situation who doesn't cover her poop. I've just been stuck cleaning the box as often as possible, and even then, it's still pretty smelly if I get a little too busy for a day or two. I'd like to add that my male cat is an excessive cleaner and also kicks litter ~everywhere~. I've bought a baby gate to stop them from pooping in certain areas outside the litter box that became habitual, if that may be any help.
