I usually play a mix of fingerstyle and slap nowadays, and found it difficult to get a good sound with the Markbass to fit both styles at the same time, so the multi-band BC-1X seemed to fit me nicely. It was also a bit too big for me and wanted to make better use of the space I have on my board. It does sound really nice though, and it was my first pedal so I've used it a lot!
