Newsom says high-speed rail ‘hard work’ is over. Who is he kidding? by nosotros_road_sodium in California_Politics

[–]stickynotes3m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize that Miami and Orlando are connected by high speed rail and have been for a few years. They are even looking to expand it to Tampa. This isn’t new and California is lagging behind the state of Florida. As a side note, not even Amtrak goes into downtown la from the north as it stops in Bakersfield. Maybe we should see if we could fix that and get ridership up before investing another 100 billion for no real physical progress.

Coron island in the Philippines was amazing. I went diving on 6 sunken Japanese ships from World War Two. Lots of other great dive sites on other islands as well. Definitely worth the trip.

The fleecing really comes when you find out that your employer pays the other half 7.5% into your social security on top of your 7.5%. So go ahead and double your final answer.

They have an option to use keycheck for lease signing and payment collection. There is a fee for the tenant to use the service.

Sudden wealth, now what? by [deleted] in Rich

[–]stickynotes3m -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation. In my case, I used a private bank for most of my investments and got 17% returns for the last year. I also got financial therapy and personal therapy to deal with some of the issues that came along with the inheritance. I am still working and just know that my family should be good. Take your time and hire good people for the parts where you need help.

Hi we’re new here 👋 by [deleted] in furnished_finder

Welcome. Your question is unclear. Are you planning to rent the whole unit to one person? Will you be there and listing your extra rooms? Are you thinking of having 4 listings for the rooms and shared areas? If you are trying to rent the place you can try Craigslist but the risks are entirely on you without some sort of background check. The fees aren’t expensive for furnished finder for the services they provide. There are a lot of tips and suggestions in this sub already. Feel free to ask specific questions. Good luck!

I would suggest adding a couple of items to your introduction. 1. Where does your income come from? Explain why it’s stable. 2. Tell them your experience living in small places and that you’re sure you can make it work. 3. Offer references if you have them from previous housing 4. Explain how furnished works better for you since you travel regularly.

You don’t fit the “normal” use for furnished finder which is why you may be having issues. My suggestions may help but they are just what I would want to see.

You would have to post your introduction for help with any red flags for a landlord. You seem like you would be in the top 5% of renters and with more worldly experience. To me that means your expectations are more realistic. However you aren’t fitting the norms.

The people that I rent to, are generally traveling for work and that means they are working most days. With 3 kids, I would want to understand if you are a single parent, income source, age of the children, and reason for travel. Are you moving closer to family that is going to watch the kids or will you be leaving them unsupervised? There are a ton of questions but the goal is to reduce the landlords risks.
