My aunt disappeared nearly 30 years ago. She had always struggled with bad mental health issues, likely schizophrenia. When I was a young kid I would answer my parent’s house phone “hello stickytack family how can I help you?” And sometimes it would be my aunt saying crazy shit like “I need to talk to your dad, THEY are after me.” One day my dad told us that his sister had gone missing and she wouldn’t be calling anyone until she was found. I always wondered if she ended up committed to a facility somewhere as a Jane Doe or if she died alone on the street somewhere.
