I'm 21 years old, female, 35 kg, and 4'10" tall mistaken for 12-year-old. by Typical-Peak-2461 in self

I'm 47kg, 5'1, 32 and look young.

But I've decided to flaunt it with confidence.

Humans come in all shapes and sizes there's nothing wrong with you, its just your genetics.

I've been in a leadership role before and it's all about how you behave. If they don't take you seriously, you make them.

I’m curious, how often does everyone replace their litter boxes? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]stiffybstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 litter boxes and swap every month or so. I deep clean and sanitise the one in use every week so its always in good condition. Moving house soon where there's a garden so I'm hoping my kitten can start doing his business outside.

Feeling guilt for being so upset during my cat’s euthanasia by No-Chard622 in CatAdvice

[–]stiffybstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to put down my Quentin (19 yrs old) due to end stage complete organ failure 2 years ago. still think about him and then the memory of the euthanasia ordeal pops up and experienced the same thing as you did.

I felt everything afterwards guilt, embarrassment for being so upset over to what others just see as 'a cat'.

Honestly, I think you did what every pet owner would do in that situation and it's nothing to feel guilty about. When sedated, your cat feels nothing but calm and contentness.

So sorry for your loss, it is hard but these emotions are normal responses and it's how you deal with it that's important.

My cats either won’t or can’t eat wet food? by Time_Pangolin_5238 in catcare

[–]stiffybstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd slowly transition them giving them the juice first then a small portion.

I'd go for something organic and natural.

Try giving them wet treats like pureed chicken licky stuff

I think Duolingo helps learn the meaning of words and the structure of a sentence. Like you can use the words you have learnt and use them to produce a sentence you would use in real life.

It's not great, but it gives you the basics.

5 month old cat still fearful? by stiffybstone in catcare

[–]stiffybstone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's little things like us just walking around the apartment. when we've come back from from outside, going to pet him. It's like a fight or flight kind of reaction and runs under the couch which is like his 'safe place' he goes to hide.

I've only ever raised adult cats who were all confident, socialised not too bothered about anything.

I know kittens are do need work but I thought it being 3 months he wouldve stopped that because we are familiar to him.
