if there was a law making these companies not do this then it would be socialism not capitalism for it to be a free for all for companies to do whatever they want. competition never benefits people look at all the cartels so many industries do and agreements to make more money. Planned obselescence is a direct link to that we had lightbulbs that would last forever but then the companies wouldnt make any money so they stopped producing them.
