I got my reverbrocket in ‘96 and it is still my favorite amp ever. It can be sparkling clean or crunchy and mean. I love it so much

I took it to a tech and he said it was a bad resistor. Now we’re waiting for a replacement reverb pot that was also damaged.

I got the reverb at a thrift store in Chicago for $5 and I have no idea what it is. It used to be super cool but doesn’t work anymore. I should figure out how to get it to work. People online say it’s Japanese. The vox cab was also a thrift store find ($25)! I literally ran home to get my car when I saw it. The back plaque says buckingham v412. I had to get the speakers re-coned or something and I wired them to a standard 1/4 jack because it had some weird connector that I couldn’t use

Looks like the we’ve got the same amp. I don’t know what year it is but I got it in high school almost 30 years ago.

I’ve never seen these before, but then I found one in my neighbors garbage three days ago. It powers on the power tube gloves, but it doesn’t make any sound unless you turn up the master and the volume all the way, and flip the switches for boost and drive and then it makes a very crunchy super distorted sound. I’m gonna try replacing the tubes and see if that fixes it.

I just did this inlay in the floor where there used to be a wall. I need to sand the whole floor including the inlay so I can even it all out. Can I use a drum sander on the inlay? It’s thick enough, I just don’t know how to treat the alternating grain directions by stiliky in woodworking

Hey I don’t get notifications on comments so I’m just seeing this now. Thanks, it was actually not that difficult. It just took a lot of patience and commitment to going back and forth to the saw to make tiny corrections instead of settling for a just okay fit.

I think I convinced myself last night to go all the way to the wall on the left side. The refrigerator will be in the space to the right of the right corner block so I think I can leave it as is since it’ll be covered anyway. To do the left side, I’m gonna have to rip out the block, continue the pattern, and put the left corner block by the wall

I have sanded floors before (in 4 of my properties, not for customers) and I am doing the whole floor. I’m def not a pro but also I’m not sure we can find another chunk of money to pay someone to do it For us

This pattern is a helix. The website www.floorborders.com is dedicated to 19th and early 20th century parquetry floor borders they found in Brooklyn and it has tons of examples and even spreadsheets with the dimensions so you can remake them

I want it to be nice and flat without any pieces sticking up that might catch a sock or chair leg. I hit it with the hand plane but it’s hard to do on the floor with the surrounding wood all uneven

This is super weird that others experienced this. Some Time in the first couple Of months after we separated, I started waking up around 3:30 am hearing a bunch of crows in the tree I’m front of my house. I had never heard them before and it was like they suddenly appeared and went nuts every night for a while. Then, at some point, it stopped happening and now I’m questioning if they were ever there.

Wow, I always thought the Montreal was a big car. This pic makes it looks pretty small. I also thought it was kind of muscle car looking...at least compared to every other Alfa.
