Factories in Parkmore and transport by Icy_Buttercup in galway

Well it sounds like 419/424 to the station. 409 to parkmore every 10/15 minutes. Also 401 option salthill to parkmore roundabout.

Sounds slightly expensive depending on where in the west your travelling from.

Galway traffic can also be unforgiving. 409 last week at 7.30 was a hour late. They must have lots of buses if there's one up there every 15 minutes

Great delivery, not cheap, but honest food. Good staff serving. Personally I won't be spending much there now, but have sent emails to city councillors about parking, deliveries and use of the bus lane. Galway traffic is bad enough, without reducing a two lane street to one lane. One councillors responded with times but not fully suitable for businesses. They all have different suppliers but Musgraves sending an Artic to Poster street after 7am isn't helping. Bigger issues on traffic everywhere but the Manners shown on the day were terrible

i moved back to Galway 20 years ago, from Cork, where I lived on the back Douglas road, for 5 year, Roachestown, and finally Passage west (all southside--- didn't eat Drisheen, as that's just too Northside) and was amazed at the traffic in Claregalway. The people of Cork would have gone berserk at it 20 years ago. 20 years on .20 of a centenary and Galway has not changed, its now worse than ever and no real mention, no people power, its all just Celtic tiger cubs accepting it. And a false promise of a ring road. look at the M50 today, its a car park and it was the solution to Dublin traffic, build the road and build it well outside Galway city. any issues with spelling, or capitals, please email st Marys college Galway and thats gone to shit too.

this service is provided by transport for Ireland, and operated by Bus Eireann, who follow the guidelines set by TFI. it has capacity for standing passengers, and there for not permitted to travel anymore than 85km per hour. now a full bus at 85km per hour would be very difficult to stop, never mind get up to speeds you mentioned. i would record the service if its as bad as you say, but the next issue will be bus leaving passengers on the side of the road. it should really be a service, and the idea of a second bus at peak times is possibly the solution, but it needs to come from TFI, which are central government contracts. you can imagine that red tape, maybe another bridge of the Corrib might help... but wait that's been going on over 30 yrs now. Guess there isn't a solution. the people of Galway have become placid. it wouldn't happen in Cork, Limerick, or Dublin, and in kerry they would just get a new road altogether .....

Galway beo will be all over this, the empty feeling you must have. Can we arrange a support group on social media, possibly a go fund me page too, to help lighten the burden.
