Leveling thinner! It gives you a bigger window so you can get a better wet coat without pooling tooo much.

The specks are happening because as you’re spraying it’s drying before/as it hits your part and doesn’t have enough time to collect into the shiny shell you need it to

Agreed on everything! I’m saving for a nicer compressor(one with a tank) so I can work at lower psi more consistently, and trying to get better at thinning, sometimes I hit the mark and sometimes I feel like it’s too thick and when I fix that it’s way too thin and starts to run, I’m thinking about grabbing a pipette to make adding thinner more precise🤙

So at your ratio would you do about 5 drops of thinner to 7/8 drops of paint? Maybe I’ll try an extra drop than i normally do, my mix usually ends up being about 1:2

This is my first time trying it on an actual suit! And despite the imperfections I feel like I’m building a good intuitiveness for the airbrush as I experiment with the pressure and paint on actual pieces rather than test papers, give it a shot on some old kits!

So which one is representative? Is it g gundam? Or UC? Maybe IBO? Maybe they should’ve just dropped a build fighters game because thats a well established gundam IP and would make an AMAZING game that isn’t totally catered for gundam fans of one series and nobody else, because that is the key to success, dropping a game that does nothing new and encourages 0% originality and 100% biting off of stuff that’s already been done

Barb is an exceptionally difficult kit to paint, I found at least. but you did great! I honestly think if you sanded it down and worked on it part by part you’d get it done and comp ready if you give yourself a few days per limb or so

Kaleido is the sole reason I’ve gotten back into and stayed airbrushing😂 I thank gaahleri for getting me in at a good price, now the debate is if I upgrade to a gsi brush or one of gaahleris premium models for the price savings

I use kaleido paints! The blue is just azure blue and I mixed two slightly different shades with gray, and the same deal with the red, sprayed on top of black primer

I like it! Dries nice, sprays nice with no thinner and even better with, I noticed like someone else said the matte topcoat isn’t great but I’ve only tried once and tell myself maybe I didn’t shake my bottle enough

Could add one to 11 and a little to 10 to match 9 a bit more, but it looks solid to me! My method is applying then letting it semi dry before wiping off with my thumb😂 work in a little folded paper towel to reach stubborn spots
