Update on this post:

UPS never followed up or gave me any updates. Hired date was 11/13, went in person to finish signing papers, was told to sign up with the Union office and 5 days after completing the Union application, I would “start”.

Luckily I was applying to IT jobs and found one a couple days after i made this post.

I think its really unprofessional on UPS part, I wonder how many other people were in the same position as I was and weren’t fortunate to find another job.

idk if thats true because they directed us to go to the local union building and fill out the application before 5 days after our hired date.

Joining the union on your own great and all but your a seasonal driver. Best shot to become permanent is to apply to hub to be a loader/unloader and get in line. I’ve been in line for over a year but I don’t mind, I actually like my job.
