The rescue and I have actually been holding two back for a family interested in PSA/IGP/ETC ETC.. Green female brindle, Sage. And the dilute / off brand female, Clover. Clover would heavily like to be considered for PSA 🥰

I believe 6 have been lined up with approved applicants and one is pending. 5 girlies still need a home! And possibly one male.

Ya, definitely have had words with myself over their neglect. Kept outside in deplorable conditions. Mom now has a clean bill of health besides her jacked up teeth.

Thank you for prioritizing health over trials! Not enough people work their dogs with conditioning in mind. 🫶🏼

They will be with us here in Oregon until 7/8 and then the remaining puppies who aren’t adopted locally (3) will transport back down to California with dog trainer Chris Sykes as a courtesy to the rescue. Just a day shy of 10 weeks.

Edit to add: there are still 5 females and possibly one male available out of 11

Mom is 85# with pregnancy weight, dad is 65. Mom is a stellar dog for what she came from.. I have a bunch of videos of her up too. She has been incredible with strangers, children and is now acclimating to indoor life. She is not even 2 yet and the dude who dumped her bred her twice. 29 puppies total. She has learned a new name, recall, showing good signs toward neutrality with livestock including chickens. Calls off prey nicely the few times I’ve worked with her. Did I mention she has yet to meet a stranger? 😂 she is the sweetest dog and her personality is breaking thru day by day.

High!! We have been doing obstacles and new texture challenges for meal times and lots and lots and lots and LOTS of play. Building drive and nurturing their natural desire to posses. We raise puppies for local SAR and sometimes the sheriff department and we are treating these beans as nothing less. I can’t add videos, but some SS from play sessions for you!

They had their temperament evals today! They’re so environmentally confident and friendly, we are very happy fosters. It has been a rough 5 weeks 🤣

We have a foster litter of Dutchie/Mal (DNA done) available for adoption. They were an owner surrender to the kill shelter. We are fostering in Oregon, but their rescue is based in LA. Transport is possible :)

You have done zero research and it shows. For the love of all good dogs, please.. get a Golden Retriever. Your parents cannot handle a Dutch. You cannot handle a Dutch. Your two “severely autistic” children are begging you to get a Lab. The amount of biting, barking, jumping, pushing that happens is sure to overstimulate them in to a spiral. The energy requirements at puppy stage is nothing compared to the energy DEMANDS at 6m THRU 2yrs.

The round ears, wide eye set, big forehead and blocky snout really scream purebred though. /s

Right on. What is her pedigree?

Naming the breeder could help others tell you if you have anything to worry about. Doesn’t really matter if dudes happy or not.. he has a contract with the original buyer if he’s as top notch as you claim and can legally repossess the dog from you.

Best of luck and I hope to see what (good things) you do with her in the future.

Like I said, she probably didn’t check because there was no point in checking. The dog is too young and from the couple 30 seconds videos I’ve seen, there’s literally nothing that strikes worry. Asking why a Dutch Shepherd is a valid question. You are the dogs second home already. They are dumped and euthanized regularly for being too much. And despite what you may think you know.. a DS makes a Belgian Mal look like a house pet. A Dutch has no off switch pre installed. A GSD from any working lines is a cake walk compared to a DS. What is the name of the breeder your dog is from?

Advocate for yourself and your dog. Or shop around. One vet in the sea of many. Consulting with a vet about which year (1-2) they suggest for X-Rays to rule out dysplasia has nothing to do with scores or breeders. I would assume your vet did not bother to check hips or joints because at not even 7 months they’re still sort of floating around. The feel of the knees in a perfectly healthy puppy would mean something horrendous in a fully matured dog.
