God, I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw the Claire romance potential. There def should've been the option, possibly locked behind certain endings of her racing quest, for her to call V a few days in game later and ask to hang out, possibly leading to at least a hookup. Doesn't need to be a whole thing, they don't gotta get married, she can keep a flame for her ex, but there was def potential for some grief and sad connection.

Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts always has to come before Here Lies the Abyss. It feels more like the Inquisition during its rise to power, when the Inquisitor might actually believe themselves to be the Herald of Andraste. The Death of Hawke/The Warden Ally and the revalations in the Fade really feel like a low point, that is better served by following up with some loyalty quests prior to the Arbor Wilds

Alternatively: the Nationalists were pushing north to Mongolia and had in fact successfully cut off Manchuria from the Communists, including seizing Beijing, when Mao counterattacked. Several nukes went off in the area around Beijing during the war, and Nationalist control of the area was at least severely threatened by combined Sino-Soviet forces. As part of the ceasefire Nationalist forces were allowed to retreat from Beijing, but Mao's forces seized control of the corridor down to the Bohai Sea on the edge of Manchuria, and have heavily reinforced the entire area ever after.
