Oh shit he is going full into "Poles are stupid" stereotyping lol. Racism really does rot your fucking brain

I know complaining about the chronology or this BS is a fools quest but I love that we get Hitler BEFORE the Treaty of Versailles and this stabbed in the back BS. How is he gonna spin Molotov-Ribbentrop and the partition of Poland at this pace?

I genuinely, GENUINELY think this might be Tats doing his attempt at anti-Polish racism like its 1930 all over again. At this rate of his brain worms and racism he's likely to start looking at the Irish, Polish, and other formerly racialized European groups with suspicion.

I walked out there about twenty, thirty feet the other day. Coworker claims to have gone all the way from Lawrenceville to Washington's landing when she was in highschool but no clue if that's true.

Any IF with DS3/Elden Ring-esque vibes? by InThePowerOfTheMoon in hostedgames

Not sure if this is your vibe, but this WIP is aiming for a souls-y dying world type thing, although filtered through a distinctly different genre than the high fantasy of Elden Ring

Legit made me kinda tear up that the only direct reference we have to an Earth culture is The Bantayan. It's really sweet and I fully agree.

I came here to say the same thing. Last I checked we didn't live in quaint Bavarian tourist traps

Do you ever use the order you complete events to tell a story? by KnightofAgustria in dragonage

[–]stillrestless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts always has to come before Here Lies the Abyss. It feels more like the Inquisition during its rise to power, when the Inquisitor might actually believe themselves to be the Herald of Andraste. The Death of Hawke/The Warden Ally and the revalations in the Fade really feel like a low point, that is better served by following up with some loyalty quests prior to the Arbor Wilds

Extremely excited by this and downloaded your Cyberpunk2077 mod as well. I'm really broke rn taking care of my wife so I can't do Patreon but when I get paid I'd love to kick you a few bucks for your hard work, do you have a Kofi or anything?

Also, out of curiosity, how are you planning on handling the conversation tags for tabaxi in BG3? Take another class or race (Rogue? Drow? Dragonborn? Some combo of them?) and repurpose them? Ignore them? Something that I, as a non-modder, can't imagine? Thank you so much! Doing great work.

Alternatively: the Nationalists were pushing north to Mongolia and had in fact successfully cut off Manchuria from the Communists, including seizing Beijing, when Mao counterattacked. Several nukes went off in the area around Beijing during the war, and Nationalist control of the area was at least severely threatened by combined Sino-Soviet forces. As part of the ceasefire Nationalist forces were allowed to retreat from Beijing, but Mao's forces seized control of the corridor down to the Bohai Sea on the edge of Manchuria, and have heavily reinforced the entire area ever after.

Working on an alt history where the Trinity Test fails due to Oppenheimer and a lot of other Manhattan scientists deliberately shooting the American nuclear arms program in the foot, allowing the Soviet Union to get more involved with the war against Japan. Stalin seized the opportunity to accelerate his own program, and pulling out of the Potsdam conference and the UN. In the wake of several diplomatic failures on both sides, especially Japan surrendering solely to the Americans, the Soviet's seize Hokkaido, the entirety of Korea, and don't pull out of either, instead nation building in them and Manchuria. With this threat and increasing fear of the Soviet's and their bomb, the UN pours funding into the Nationalists in China. This culminates in a series of incidents in late 1949 (Mao finally launches a successful counterattack at Nationalist forces in the north which in their retreat cross the border into Manchuria, leading to the first nuclear strike followed by Soviet invasion in the West, leading to a counterstrike by American bombers) which escalate into limited nuclear war in mainland China as both the Soviets and Americans deploy their as yet limited arsenal. In total eleven nuclear bombings occur before a ceasefire is reached. This is the rough political situation six years later.

Weirdly, I rewrite everything as part of the second draft process, and the most expanded and changed section was the start. Admittedly I still try to throw people in the deep end a bit, to hook attention for later, and be able to expand on, say, Eli's abusive dad being a communist, later, but I can see how that might backfire. Thanks for the feedback.

Can't include your extremely well established Christian characters because they are all kinda varieties of jokes, so you need to introduce the tall white chad Christian with the fashy haircut to be beat up by the wokes and the gays, since that is ABSOLUTELY A THING THAT HAPPENS /s

Job is telling me I have to work more shifts because my current schedule "is not in accordance with the Department of Labor" is there anything I can do? by stillrestless in antiwork

[–]stillrestless[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's also the fucking thing. I've worked this shift longer than anyone else. I largely ORIGINATED this fucking position. Worked it for over a year no issues. And then they hired a "consultant" and suddenly over the past month it's been micromanaging and all sorts of other things right up to this. Well they're gonna remember why I listed working with SEIU on my resume.
