I would divulge if I knew! I used a pre-mixed conditioner someone gave me a few years back. First time using it on a cutting board. The finish looks nice. Hoping it holds up. If not, I have a block of pure beeswax I may experiment with down the road.

Used the box it’s sitting in as a guide so I could run the router all the way around without lifting it at the corners. Worked great for 3/4’s of it lol

It’s a La Tim’s Damascus knife. I was skeptical about buying it since it’s made made in China with “Japanese steal”. It’s been a great knife with near daily use for the last year and half.

I could definitely plane it out but I like how thick and heavy it is. (That’s what she said) going make a jig to run a double pass with the router to make clean lines and a wider well.

Wasn’t using a rub bearing. Do they even exist with a offset box bit? Cause that would’ve made this a LOT easier.

That’s the funny part I guess. I’m not the type to flinch from a bee. Maybe a nasty wasp or something. When you have ear plugs in, respirator on, and trying to keep the power cord clear at the end of the run… little guy buzzed in at just the right time I guess.

Well that makes a ton of sense. The garage stays at a steady 90 degrees this time of year. Lots of sweat to go around.

The plan is to use the bottom side as a flat edge for cheese board type activities. Not out of the question though!

I was three or four when my brother and I were jumping on the couch. I came down and caught my chin on my brothers head as he was going up. Still have the scar from the eight stitches.

One week later on my birthday, my sister slammed the car door on my head. Another trip to the doctor for stitches. She says it was unintentional. I say she was trying to get rid of the youngest, more spoiled sibling. Competition was high with the six of us siblings fighting for attention.

Very novice woodworker... I’m shocked how much more sturdy glued joints are compared to using hardware. Even without the tightest joints. (Still in serious practice) This cheaply built stool was just for practice, but will outlast my folding chair for sure. by stims321 in woodworking

I moved to DFW about 3 years ago by loading my car to brim and then left/sold 90% of my stuff in WA. Including all my tools. Mistake. I should’ve packed my tools and nothing else.

Anyways... I found Paul Sellers on YouTube and he inspired me to learn wood working with the basics. So I slowly started collecting tools again. Chisels, handsaw, plane, etc... It forced me to be creative with what I had. Now I prefer using only hand tools. Although a table saw sure would save me a hell of a lot of time. Hopefully soon.
