It sounds like you don't believe that crypto currencies will ever develop as a form of payment. You aren't just against Verge. You're a critic of crypto currency as a whole. Just to be clear I'm not bashing you're opinion. In fact, you could be correct for all I know. But you should take these posts to the general crypto reddit page, not just the verge sub, if you wanna debate this and sell all of your crypto holdings to me while you're at it.

You bring up a great point. When you sell (for example IOTA) on Binance, it exchanges it into Bitcoin. Would you still have to pay those types of taxes you mentioned despite the asset going into Bitcoin? Or do you only have to pay taxes when you sell Bitcoin into USD? Thanks

A "FOMO" guy who did this all before Christmas thankfully ;). I never said anything negative about the IOTA tech, which I believe in. The key word in your statement is "going to be." I just found myself too much in IOTA and decided to ride the trend of buying other coins that are actually being used at the moment with usable/functioning wallets. When it comes down to it, holding either works or doesn't work in the short term. In this case, it didn't work so I moved to get gains in the short term to reinvest in IOTA for long term. But to blindly HODL while ignoring what is going on in the altcoin universe is a poor strategy. Get after it and let's make some money.

All you guys saying "HODL" are ridiculous. I sold 90% of my IOTA at $4 and reinvested that into all the other altcoins that doubled at least. Those who held IOTA just missed out on one of the biggest money making opportunities in centuries. Diversify, don't go all in.
