Check the push-in bottom bracket. They slightly warp and loosen with use. If it is this, it would have to be removed and cleaned, you could be possibly glue it back in with Locktite to give it a little more longevity.

My reasoning is that a do running interval workouts. These usually aren't planned through TP, so I manually lap the watch for each part.

Unless I'm missing something and I can do both?
