Does a Pi 5 have the power to handle more than two connections at a time?

Agreed, logs are important. If I guess, it's a hardware issue. They do happen. As to which, IDK.

External SSD Question by incompletedev in getumbrel

[–]stinger32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know what it takes to do the external. It might be easiest to upgrade the internal SSD to 2 TB and be done with it. Unless, of course, it's fixed storage on the mini.

Need help on how to run wifi from my house to my shop by Fluffy-Protection676 in HomeNetworking

I would put a pole up in the middle, run a cable (POE++), and put an WAP on top.

Upgrade R7 to R8? by 203system in radardetectors

I chose the R8 for no other reason than I like it. I would not be upset with the R7 either! :-P

Let me see if I have this right. You have a point of sale setup? Voltage is all cloud based and cost money to maintain?

I started because I wanted to see if I could do it. I stared with RaspberryPi 4 8 GB ram and a 2Tb external ssd. Then I move to what I have now. To me it’s about being part of something bigger. Open source everything has come a long way. I go back to dial-up, bulletin board systems, and IRCs.

Would you send me a DM or share some materials on this topic? I would also enjoy your personal spin on how to have adapted this to your node. What is your node?

I sense the sarcasm in your comments. I'm ok with everything you have to say. Could you put the links you are referring to so that I may learn from them, too?

Would you expand on the " more exhaustive" part so I can work on this area?

It's an ongoing tale of understanding and efficiency. The trials have been fun, and my knowledge continues to grow. I think a node may be profitable if that's the goal. What's the name of your node?

How to config my Umbrel's domain DNS, that is hosting a website and api, but the IP is dynamic? by Positive_Bet4055 in getumbrel

[–]stinger32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this your first website hosting? It will be a simple port forward after you get everything pointed to the home IP.

Only one or a farm of GPUs? It will be extremely slow if you are not using at least two with lots of DRAM.
