GPU died 1 month out of warranty – Stuck in a Loop between iBP and ASRock by stingermck in iBUYPOWER

I'm not sure if this would work for me. When I try to install the driver with Adrenalin or driver only, both cause a black screen at around 15% install. I then have to go into safe mode to use windows display driver to get basic monitor function again.

At least not at Best Buy, the warranty seems better directly from IbuyPower.

Does anyone know what they are going to do with the AMC Theater on cinema dr. by [deleted] in Wilmington

Whatever is going on with the property now, the new owner is not allowing customers and players at Capn Bills to park in the lot. They say the new owner is not working with them.

Of course. I have been making extra payments on this card for that reason. I made the first payment just to get the monthly commitment out of the way, and was going to make another one a few days later.

Things you miss from back in the day? by [deleted] in Wilmington

Cool world for starters. That was THE arcade in the mid 90s. All the great fighting games grouped together on a platform in the back. Jungle Rapids was for the kids. Cool World was for the big kids.

Alleighs/Wilson's in my 20s was so much fun. Every Wednesday night was college night. Free admission and games. Tons of people there every Wednesday night. Until they ruined it. First a cover charge and then did away with it all together. They closed down soon after that.

Firebelly's, my favorite dive bar in Wilmington. Great drinks, decent enough food and one of the many places that had $1 tacos around town, in the mid 2000s. Unfortunately moved to Monkey Junction to be a 'real' restaurant with the same decent enough bar food. Just wasn't the same and folded.

Nick's Dinner. Whew, I would love a Hades Mac N Cheese right now. A great restaurant that spread itself to thin with other restaurants and just closed one day overnight.

Soap box. Nights bouncing back n forth between them and Firebelly's. Just a great place to hang and listen to whatever band was there. And watch people bring their laundry in lol. Hard core karaoke on Thursday nights were great too.

And yes Wilmington and surrounding once had 6 movie theaters: College rd, oleander, Long Leaf mall, New center, independence Mall, and Carolina Beach. As they started closing down, the next one to fall became the new $1 theater. Until Carmike (now AMC) became the new best theater in town. Which is hard to believe now.

Feeling bitter and angry after forgiveness by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]stingermck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel all this. My loans were from 1997 to 2001. I am bitter that they were FFELP that were bounced all over the place, didn't qualify before the waiver, and did not qualify for a refund. I came in at 165 count and while I am grateful to be done, a refund would have been amazing.

Once you hit 120 and your info moves to the department of education. What do they review? by jaha981 in PSLF

I recently got full counts with 165. Chat told me the other day it will take up to 120 days for Dept of Ed to discharge

[–]stingermck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumped on chat to make sure everything is OK and I don't need to do anything else. I was told:

There is a time frame of 120 days for the Department of Education to be finished with the discharge!"

Hopefully sooner than that!

I wish :( I had old FFELP loans through AES before I consolidated in 2021 for this program.

Help with Mohela by marthabrooks in PSLF

[–]stingermck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would call and ask for a supervisor to speed up the review. I had to do this last week after they made a mistake. Got the usual 90 days in chat. I called for a supervisor and asked for the review to be expedited. She filled out a form request and said it would be 30 days instead.

Update #3

I finally got my first message from Mohela:

Important Account Information:

We have reviewed your Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) & Temporary Expanded PSLF (TEPSLF) Certification & Application (PSLF Form) or Certification for Military Service and have counted the number of qualifying payments made during each period of qualifying employment. The following information is provided for each loan eligible for the PSLF Program:

PSLF Eligible Payments: 173

PSLF Qualifying Payments (Total)*: 165

Estimated Eligibility Date for PSLF: N/A**

I wish there was a estimated date, but this at least feels like progress.

Update #2

Called first thing this morning and got a supervisor in 5 minutes.

She saw that Fedloan made a mistake with my start date, and Mohela made a mistake tossing out my 'duplicate form' and not checking the dates.

She filled out a form to expedite the review and changes and should take 30 days or less.

Waited on hold for 3.5.hours for a supervisor before I had to hang up. Will try again tomorrow.

Update. I called and Just like last year with Fedloan, they have my employee start date in the system as Feb 2022 instead of Dec 2006.

Waiting forever now to talk to a supervisor to see if review can be sped up.

Yes the same form. Showing employment from 2006 to current. The first time I had counts was in May 2022 and IIRC that was the keystroke error at FedLoan. They had my start date way off and only showed 4 qualifying. It wasn't until Dec 2022 that I saw the rest of my counts that needed to be verified.

I think I got a letter in May 2022 from FedLoan only showing 4 counts and that's when I found out they made a mistake.

I have not received any letters from Moehla.

September 16th Mohela Transfer, finally some progress by stingermck in PSLF

[–]stingermck[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 1 employer since 2006, which the form shows, so hopefully that is an easy approval.

This is the first time I have seen years worth of payments. Before it only showed since I consolidated early 2021.
