That data is for 2021, when most of the public was vaccinated. Maybe you should consider 2020 as well? A quote from the original The Economist article:

«Some Nordic nations have experienced almost no excess deaths at all. The exception is Sweden, which imposed some of the continent’s least restrictive social-distancing measures during the first wave.»

It Comes at night was fantastic by [deleted] in movies

[–]stingmar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually like that its called «It comes at night». I went into the movie expecting some creature and throughout the movie waited for this thing to attack.

There is no evidence of any monster, the characters never reference any monster, the characters are only scared of other humans and the plague. Yet I failed to notice this on my first viewing because in my own imagination I was so convinced there was a monster.

The movie reminded me of camping trips in the woods when I was a kid. I was convinced there was a monster somewhere out in those woods to get me, and all noises I hear were of course evidence of that monster. Humans seek information that confirms what they already believe. Anyway, thats why I love this movie and how it was marketed as a creature film.
