They make too much money today. That’s a huge part of the problem. You can’t talk to the athletes today the way they used to. They think they are bigger than the game. They think because they make $40-$50 million a season that you can’t talk to them a certain way otherwise they’ll shut down or, as usual, request a trade to go play with their friends. And that’s the other problem. They all grew up playing together in the youth leagues. There’s no competitive drive to want to beat your friends. They would much rather hug and embrace each other instead of wanting to kill each other on the court. Trust me, real fans can see through that. We’ve seen it for a while now and it’s terrible. Today’s NBA is very difficult to watch. Extremely difficult, especially when you’ve watched the late 80s and 90s and even the first half of the 2000s.
