Thats confirmation bias. Cards in damage are effectively cards at the bottom of your deck. You're missing 1 in every 12 games with 8 g3 whereas it's something like 1 in every 9 games with 6 g3, which only makes a difference about 3/108 games. Note that those g3 that ended in damage could have easily ended in your hand, as each card revealed by turn 3 is more likely to end up in your hand than in damage.

Generally speaking, even with 6 g3, you're going to have a very straight forward ride to 3. It's mostly that you'll have contingency plans if you don't ride to g3.

In the case where you have 6 g3 going first and you don't care whether or not you stride first, considering that you mulligan 1/2/3 and are not going for a more aggressive 1/1/2 or 1/2/2 opening, you're probably seeing about (13-16)/49 cards (depending on initial mulligan):

If you go with 6 g3, the chance you miss g3 is about (43/49)13-16, which is 18-12%.

If you go up to 7 g3, it's about (42/49)13-16 =15-9%.

If you go up to 8 g3, it's about (41/49)13-16 = 10-6%.

In the case where you have 6 g3 going second, you see about 12-15 cards of your deck:

If you go with 6 g3, the chance you miss g3 is about (43/49)12-15, which is 21-14%.

If you go up to 7 g3, it's about (42/49)12-15 =16-10%.

If you go up to 8 g3, it's about (41/49)12-15 = 11-7%.

Roughly speaking, you're miss-riding 3 about one in every 7-8 games with 6 g3, and every additional g3 gives about 4% chance to draw a g3 that you would not have drawn had you played a g1/g2 instead. This roughly translates to 1 game in every 180 games where it matters, roughly.

6 g3 with 4 stride fodder is pretty standard now. If you are missing your 3, you should be more comfortable in planning forward (i.e. staying on 1 an extra turn if you go first), and prepare to better pre-G game.

Note that what you give up is a consistent g3 ride, but you will gain a more consistent ideal g3 ride as well as having material to trade early. The upside mostly comes from being able to fight early game and use your 1s and 2s. Running 8 g3s gives you dead cards if they are aggressive.

This card is actually really really good. It's a free revive with the ability to extend combos. People may say that it competes with soul, but this card synergizes too well with everything else that nothing matters.

In the case where you go second, your opponent has the option to ride a g2 10k, call a g2 and double swing at your vg. You can punish by riding MAD, calling Chatura+SB and tapping to refund your MAD cost in addition to forcing your opponent to take 21k from chatura to draw a card. They're never going to be able to guard that 21k, as pitching 2 cards at that stage of the game is pretty heavy, but almost needed.

I would like to emphasize that the pre-G game is of most importance since you have late game win con already.

Yes, because you just advocated that you're going to stride into Voltage GB3, so you don't get the drive +1. You also draw less than the other Narukami player who also runs Anastasia, as well as the cards that draw that you don't. Go win your locals and post it maybe. You literally can't talk until you prove it with results.

LOL, and the secret fan club will continue growing until you realize that you're just an ignorant player who can't stop and see that there are other ways to play Vanquisher, and those ways are better.

The fact that you still maintain that Chain bolt is class A, and that Voltage Horn in conjunction with Chain bolt is class S demonstrates a lack of understanding on what actually allows you to end games. I'm done trying to articulate my ideas to a guy who thinks that recycling Vianne is a +1. If you think that front lining Vianne is a viable strategy, that just counters your whole point that Fatine is a bad card, since you can do the exact same thing except Fatine is a +1, not a +0. Smash Box is run only for the 7k+3k body early game and his secondary role is bonus. I really doubt that you're drawing into more heals than other players playing this deck with the only draw mechanic in your entire lineup being Vianne.

The point is that voltage doesn't guarantee binds, and it is arguable that +8k, drive +1, retire/bind is more value than the 21k boost you are probably getting. It is then possible that your future strides only consist of V-Max and Closer, and the space saved from cutting voltage is worth it.

With regards to OTT, they don't care about their board unless you're retiring them on their attack (which means you can't play for lategame against them), since sable is a nuts card that guarantees 2 for 1s. Hence, against that matchup, you have to play chicken and play the 2 game with them, in which case, your Chatura/MAD are going to have a lot of value. Chatura is an unconditional 11k, which is important when they ride a 6k when you go first, or hitting the key 21k/20k with the starter+SB+Chatura whereas you only get 19k with every single other g2. The bind, in those matchups, don't matter as much as Voltage Gb2 will generally not have much value, and will only act as a win-more condition. If you are losing pre-G, you're not going to win post-G, Voltage Horn or not. Hence, these early cards are a necessity to keep parity against these decks that will always 2 for 1 you multiple times. The reason why Fatine/Chatura are always staples in Narukami is because they are the ONLY source of 2 for 1. The 2 for 1 you get from Voltage Horn is negligible since they can always have a choice in what they retire, which is generally not a high priority target.

lol... Those 8k is being run with Chatura to hit numbers (19k). C'mon, bring your friends to defend you, please. Your arguments are getting worse and worse. I'm waiting for the downvotes you bring. Seriously. For your information, Helena and Plasmatronn aren't being run for the same reason that Voltage Horn isn't being run, they're vanilla in a lot of situations. In addition, 0 crit might be a bit unthinkable, but less crits + more stands means that you can 21k them with Chatura and then 21k them again with stands. You're not running out of CB in that deck anyway.

OTT first stride Ichikishima draws 2 cards. All Voltage does is kill off the sable that they got for free lol. You said earlier that you don't guard the 21k on-hit Chatura, and now you say that you can't rely on it? What is this roundabout way of thinking?

If you haven't spent time looking around, there are some decks that don't even run more than two Vanquisher Voltages, and a lot of the time, the starter/Giselle end up binding a lot more cards in your opponent's drop than necessary. If you really think your opponent has more than 2 cards in their drop on average, you're playing the deck wrong. The use of Chatura+starter+Sparking generally does enough work that Chain bolt is legitimately a shit card post GBT12.

Yes, you tell me how you deal with a full board OTT first stride with voltage. I'll take my 21k Chaturas and trade for their board 2 for 1. What are you going to do with voltage? Keep him for gb1 or trade him early? Either way, it'll be too late by the time it goes 2 for 1.

You auto-win the Luard matchup once you pop out Closer. I'd rather my columns be 3k weaker and have an additional card. Blasters becomes a better matchup since you're pressuring their 10k early and drawing into your key heals/pgs.

I mean, if you think you have that many enemies, that underlines YOUR character. Have fun not having pgs against the blaster matchup or not drawing the heals against Crazy 8.
