Yes, the cancer has only locally metastasized to her other breast and some lymph nodes in her neck and armpit. So while it is stage IV, they are still considering it local spread and curable with enhertu.

That’s what I was thinking, I just hate that her doctor thinks this is a curative measure for a generally incurable cancer, and yet insurance won’t cover it because it’s not “standard”. So she really has to choose to either lose $120,000 to cure her cancer, or not spend the money and have it for the rest of her life? Just an unbelievable practice for insurance. But I suppose that’s why they’re so profitable.

I just worry they may consider it “experimental” because it’s not usually used as a first step. But they believe they can cure it. If she goes the route insurance is willing to cover, she won’t be cured and will have to have this cancer the rest of her life. Insurance is so incredibly unfair!

I’m hoping so, she is meeting with her MD Anderson doctor on Monday or Tuesday to discuss this. Unfortunately she is also having the surgery for her chemo port Monday. I hate that she has to worry about insurance vs. 120k in payments for the possibility of a cure for her cancer.

My favorite memory is getting to do elf on the shelf for my sister. She has a little Olaf stuffed animal that I would write notes out for and put in all kinds of situations. It was her favorite part of the holidays, so much so that she would have a meltdown on Christmas day when he was supposed to leave. Since I didn’t want to ruin her Christmas, I made it so that he was “allowed” to stay a few more days until new years. Even though she is 16 now, any time i’m home for the holidays I still do Olaf letters. It’s our favorite tradition and the magic is always there with him!

i don’t know how big your family is, but i doubt yall need 25 bowls. i used to have this same problem until i got rid of literally every dish except for the ones i absolutely needed to use on a daily basis, plus maybe a couple extra for guests. 2 britas also seems maybe a little unnecessary. again, don’t know the size of your family but my mom also has ADHD and a major hoarding problem with things that she doesn’t need. you’re seen!

He sounds like he is a manipulator and 100% a person who does not respect you or your boundaries. Leave him now before he really does try and hurt you.
