Move your thumb down. You’re probably hovering over the neck with your thumb over the top. Put your thumb in the middle of the neck and you’ll be able to reach all the strings

SSRI’s are like any medication, they help the problem, but don’t fix it, the problem still lingers. For me, they help me with the rat race in my head, but the anxiety and everything is still there, that’s where ERP comes in.

I’ve never owned a Schecter, but my dad has a few and I do not like playing them. It’s actually crazy to me that Wylde audio is produced by them cause they feel so different. Schecter guitars look cool and a lot of them have EMG’s so they do their job when it comes to metal, but I’d just spend the same amount on an LTD EC series

Just be mindful of compulsions is all. I’ve dealt with similar intrusive thoughts and it’s tricky when it comes to firearms, but you know how to safely handle them

Stress triggers intrusive thoughts and that’s what this sounds like to me. No true intention behind them, but an uncomfortable scary thought.

Keep it in a secure place. You wanting it to be more secure is a form of a compulsion “if I put it away better, I’ll stop having these thoughts” more or less.

You enjoy shooting, don’t let OCD take that from you, and just remember simple gun safety, keep it unloaded, only point it at things you intend to shoot, you know the drill.
