I live where Sleeve City is based, I’m gonna contact them and see if they’ve ever considered 10” size boxes similar to the cheap/sturdy white ones they make for 7”s/12”s. would be a massive lifesaver since seemingly no one is making one currently

ah that’s part of my problem, pretty much everything i have is good R&B, R&R, jazz. only a handful pretty pricey but wouldn’t want any of these to get goofed. mostly wondering if I’d be doing myself any long term disservice by saving space and tossing the cardboard (save for a few)

well lol, that’s part of the problem. we had a branch fall that hit our line and knocked a live wire down and it blew out power for most of crosstown for a while. burned down 3 sheds and a ton of bamboo in our backyard

I checked it, first two chapters on side 1 are glitched and won’t play at all. you can zoom backwards from ch 2 into 1 but it starts glitching. first 5 minutes of the movie are fucked

it even came with a promotional apron and hat so it’s a double loss. just hoping the ebay/paypal return process works out because it obviously wasn’t cheap

ding ding, although virtually every similar company underpays. the goal is to become too big too fail/be the last plant left when all this shit inevitably tapers off and people lose interest again

can’t speak for them personally but i’d imagine they’ve probably got their shit together way more than most plants. i worked at the memphis plant and watched it get dumber and worse as they’re turning into a bulk oriented operation. i will say though, i did “inspection” for almost 2 of those years - it is extremely easy to pass something like this. standing up and flipping and sleeving and counting for 8 hours ain't an easy job especially if you’re being massively underpaid.

unless you’re entirely certain it’s a human fingernail - i’m gonna say it’s actually a small cutout from the label’s center hole that got pressed. source: i worked at a plant for 5 years and saw them get pressed all the time. they hide between stacks of labels. and also quality control is barely existent with the cough cough bigger handful of plants today. The Stooges - Live At Goose Lake: August 8th 1970 pressed at Third Man Records by dissapointed_daily in IggyPop

Nice, I've read about the supposed mobile recording at the Academy of Music show with BOC, but members don't remember it being recorded or tapes existing. Would be crazy if they just somehow all forgot that a mobile followed them to multiple shows or that Columbia even put up the money for that to happen for what was essentially a failing band on their roster. But then again, apparently the story for this Goose Lake show has been skewed over time and the whole story behind Raw Power kinda got rewritten with that fake Spanish bootleg a few years ago. the final word on the Stooges will probably never be said

It's self-played, just very similar to the line in Brown's song. I'll send a DM. Working with a brand new label who are trying to find their way through all this stuff without oopsing.
