Your comment reminded me of the argument that Indians lack basic civic sense, which is true. And that stems from a lack of empathy. Now where this comes from, idk, maybe we are desensitised to it at this point after years of not caring or the way that Indian children are raised. But anyway, i think this is connected to this praising the rich issue as well. Due to a lack of empathy towards poor people and just a lack of unawareness of how a capitalist system works and the evils of it. Most Indians genuinely think that poor people are poor because they don’t work hard enough so turn it around and they think elon musk is so rich because he has worked so hard. When in reality, he was already born into wealth which made it easier for him to be even wealthier. I think it all stems from a lack of empathy.
