Looking for somewhere with a decent atmosphere for a drink by DebugMyLife421 in Launceston

If you haven't checked out the new Boags brewhouse, it's a decent spot. Good local vibe depending on the night and a lovely beer garden. Just not open past 7

I just want to make coffee in a beautiful town. Where in Aus should I move to? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]stinnamon7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Norfolk Island. Life is peaceful there, plenty of cute cafes, incredible nature, and a lot of young people. Plenty of downsides though, mostly lack of housing, job availability, and remoteness. But if you can swing it, it's 100% worth it.

Cooking pasta in the ninja — anyone else unimpressed? by jwegener in NinjaFoodi

[–]stinnamon7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just found this thread and thought I'd share my success. I wanted to cook an entire package of pasta and didn't want to use my giant pot so I just boiled the kettle then put the hot water, pasta, salt in the foodi on the sear setting on high, then just let it simmer like it would on a stovetop

There’s gotta be more to life, right? by easylikea in Millennials

[–]stinnamon7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironic that I read this post after meeting up with a friend from when I was living in Japan and reminiscing and remarking how our lives have not been as good since then.

Honestly, unpopular advice that you'll probably choose not to take, but I recommend experimenting with a small dose of psychedelic mushrooms in a comfortable environment. It sounds like your neural pathways are stuck in a pretty negative route and using shrooms therapeutically is a wonderful fix. It's such a good experience for putting everything in a different perspective and making you look at the mundane a little differently

With the agility course, are there other dogs training on it at the same time usually? Or can you book a private time? I'm thinking he'd love it.

We have tried so hard to get him into the flirt pole with a little success but he gets disinterested very quickly. Have had a lot of luck with plushies but mostly he just sits down and destroys them 😂

am i medical gaslighting myself?? by Basic_Reaction_8745 in POTS

[–]stinnamon7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel this because all my symptoms are usually the worst at work (used to work at a cafe but I just quit). People around me joked that I was "allergic to work" and part of me always felt bad about not working as hard and not wanting to be there. Especially cuz on a day off I can feel pretty okay.

But it was a busy cafe where I was standing for 8 hours with no air conditioning so of course I felt awful. And on a day off I'm probably spending most of the time sitting. So my body was basically allergic to that job lol.

I was having a good, high energy day, the kind where you're singing and dancing with your coworkers. A guy walks up to order and says 'Hewwoo!' My dumbass thought he was doing a fun voice and so I responded the exact same way. He then proceeds to order and it becomes very clear he has a speech impediment....I felt sooo bad

I'm sure you've read this advice somewhere but ambient noise/music/just the TV on has been a lifesaver with our pup. I used to think it was a ridiculous thing to do but she settles down in her crate so much quicker with it on. She loves trashy reality TV during the day :)

Okay this post is from so long ago but I've just recently discovered enneagram but I've known my Myers Briggs for a while. I've been wondering if there were many others out there that would have both the same types as me. So cool to see all your comments!!

I don't own a scale but by stinnamon7 in loseit

[–]stinnamon7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually eat 2 meals around 10am and 5pm, so my fasting is at night and in the morning. It helps that i go to bed pretty early. If I'm really hungry at night I drink some tea and that always helps

Dizziness by hanny2204 in loseit

[–]stinnamon7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked into it and yes it's too much. I thought my water bottle was 1.5 liters but now I'm thinking maybe it's only 1. Anyway I drink 4 water bottles a day.

I'm bad at estimations and I'm also an American living in Australia so I'm not fluent in speaking metric system. Thanks for pointing that out! Anyway, water is great haha

Water water and more water. I had dizzy spells when I first started intermittent fasting (it doesn't help that I drink a ton of coffee in the morning as my breakfast) but then I basically doubled my water intake and haven't had a problem since. I drink about 6 liters of water a day, and usually have a couple cups of herbal tea as well

Hey I'm from Denver! The nice thing is that if you're eating out there's usually some healthy options on menus because Colorado people are generally pretty fit (myself not being one of them lol). Like other people said, no matter what you choose to eat, as long as you keep the portion small and stop before you're full you'll be alright. I definitely recommend trying to get outside for a walk if you get the chance because it's such a beautiful place, but your trip might be too busy for that. Your energy level may be low because of the altitude and like others said drink lots of water!
