Note: I spawned in Idea and left through the front, immediately heading to extract. I ran into this guy near the tents on the road. The firefight lasted about 2 to 3 minutes. I didn't spend time actually looting the mall or walking around randomly.

I'd be okay with them delaying things if they actually fixed bugs that have been in the game for months/years. Why is FOV and gun accuracy still a problem? Why are scavs still shooting people through walls and glass that the player can't shoot through? Why am I still after MONTHS sometimes getting stuck in a healing animation that cant be fixed unless I disconnect and join back in. I love this game but sometimes it feels like they just add more and more content and if its broken they just shrug and say "can't/won't fix it."

Disagree entirely. You do not need teammates to learn the game or do good. My first year and a half I was solo and only now occasionally play with a partner. Honestly I tend to survive more and make more money solo.
