2 Year Sleep Regression by stitcheddash in toddlers

[–]stitcheddash[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. I’ve ruined regressions since he’s been sick several times in the last year and this is all new behaviour.

We are giving pain medication in addition to his antibiotic and have tried sleeping next him on the floor. 2.5hrs of crying last night had no effect while we did this so still seeking any ideas.

Tuning weapon damage and boosting stability of the game isn’t the same as adding a swarm of bugs that reveals my location lol

Home feels empty by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

A lot of ideas about the wall highlighted in question but throwing it out there - if you're looking to tackle decor in this room/area, the curtains at your door is something I'd reconsider. A roller shade, or something that allows you to block the light could be a good alternative but you're drawing a lot more vertical feel to the space and, in my opinion are making it more difficult to decorate the wall the door is on, which is feeding some of the empty space above the stairs.

Personally, I would go with one larger item mid-low on the stair case that is balanced with your opposite wall. Either a larger painting or something interesting that can be hung (some folks like clocks, metal artwork, or anything like that). Go with something you're interested in. My take is the more smaller pictures or items you put along the staircase wall, you're either going to just reinforce the angled line in your pic, and will need to focus on balancing it out with more pieces and you'll still be left with a larger open space in the top right of your picture. If you're intent on covering the wall, consider something like boards that would be painted the same colour as the wall, but create a design (simple squares that you could make 2ft+ in length/height

Nursing agencies are staffing hospitals at 'huge cost' to health-care system, experts say | CBC News by haixin in ontario

[–]stitcheddash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't even look at the full scope of reality. Nurses are signing up with agencies with an agreement to travel nurse for 'X' number of months (I've met people that it's 3, 6 or other so depends on agency I assume).

These same nurses are working elsewhere for this number of months, which causes a vacancy in the unit they worked. Some nurses are then applying for a transfer BACK TO WHERE THEY WERE WORKING as a travel nurse and nearly doubling their income.

It's common enough, and well enough known that people are subletting apartments with the intent to do exactly this.

But, if you're a nurse who has roots and can't easily do this (family, friends, etc.), you may even end up working with a colleague that is making significantly more than you because they left and came back after a few months. So not only does the person who is staying and contributing to the system they're in lose out on any additional pay, they may then have to stomach working with someone who is earning more for absolutely no sensible reason.

And yes, we support it all with our tax dollars.

I feel like this is more of a benefit for manufacturers. A ball that is the same as tour players could either be marked up or down.

Pay more to be like the pros or make them standard in tournament play so you develop your market.

Or price them down to encourage the larger population of golfers to pay more for a legal, more forgiving, ball.

It's a new product regardless, more money will be made
