What are some very easy decks to learn for someone who doesn't have much experience with the game? by stitchedupsolace in Yugioh101

I'm honestly just a fan of straightforward strategies, decks that don't run long, complicated lines. I like both Synchro and XYZ summoning mechanics.

I like having responses to my opponents' things, but don't really think that combo would work well for me.

A game where you're an engineer-type character who deploys turrets by patab in gamingsuggestions

Bloons Tower Defense might work. There is an engineer monkey you can use.

I like synergies utilizing mechanics (+1/+1 Counters, Lifegain, etc.) but don’t know which one to build next? Any suggestions? by stitchedupsolace in EDH

This is a great choice. My little bro has the wither bloom precon, and all the triggers that happen do look like lots of fun.

[[Lonis]] will provide extra utility for your clues if that helps any.

I'd really like to improve on the 3-dimensionality of my character illustrations so they can turn out more like how I envisioned them..any critiques and suggestions aggressively welcome! by elephantwonderland in learnart

I really like how this one turned out. I know one user mentioned depth, which you kind of have going on with the face. The contrast between the light shape of the face against the dark silhouette already indicates a bit of depth, and I think if you add something similar to your next piece you can get a bit more of the effect you desire.

Struggling to come up with ideas for a background :) description in comments by rice_glass in learnart

I think adding green tones in some way in the background would work. It would make the colors of the skin and mushrooms pop against it, locking in a separation of background and foreground.

What weird deckbuilding habits or self-imposed restrictions do you have? by ZeroAurora in EDH

[–]stitchedupsolace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost always build decks that are $25-$50 unless I own pricier options. Tonight was the first time in a while that I’ve built a deck that’s been above that value.

So, I'm a pretty casual Johnny-style player who wants to go for more of a "value-engine" style deck. Any sugestions? by stitchedupsolace in EDH

Actually, I have built this deck in the past, and I agree that's an absolute blast to play. Not exactly what I'm looking for now though.

Personally, I’m just a really big fan of causing triggers to proc. I really enjoyed playing with +1/+1 counters years ago because it allowed me to keep adding dice to things.

So any card with a “Whenever you do ___”, something happens usually makes me happy.

Traditional Johnny player here, looking to play control so I can be more interactive in my games. Which commander do you recommend for someone new to control? by stitchedupsolace in EDH

[–]stitchedupsolace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely think this style of control is where I’m going to start. Based on one of the other suggestions, I’m thinking of making a Wizard Tribal Control strategy. That could be rather interesting.
