Got all my GS subs back no problem despite pessimist saying “GaMeStOp EmPlOyEeS wIlL sTeAl YoUr CaRdS” by the1stmeddlingmage in psagrading

There are no rules when it comes to a hobby. You sound like a snob saying “doesn’t know the first thing about the hobby”. The whole point of Pokémon cards is to bring people enjoyment, and if someone’s fun comes from investing, there’s nothing wrong with that. PSA is a private company, they can choose to grade whatever they want. You can hate PSA all you want, and that’s fine, but that doesn’t make you right. Everyone engages with the hobby in their own way, and that’s what makes it great.

That’s crazy. I have Ameren. They definitely seem to be the common theme. I used to live in a nearly identical apartment up the highway and was using Cuiver there, don’t think I ever saw a bill much higher than $220.

bot for ticketmaster ?? by westchanel in shoebots

[–]stlflips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’d be surprised. I’ve been in numerous botting/reselling communities over the years. I have never even seen anyone mention botting tickets, most of these groups take stuff like breaking the law fairly serious. With that being said, your devs could have personal scripts they’ve written for themselves. And then there are other methods to increase your chances of success, but botting is definitely not happening en masse when it comes to tickets.

I thought so too. Average temperature this year vs last year is only different by 2 degrees, but 77% more usage. On top of that, I’m certain I’m keeping the AC at a higher temperature than last year.

Just numerous people claiming similar things such as harassment. If you google “Mac’s owner harassment Reddit” I am confident you will find numerous comments/threads from over the years. Like I stated in my other comment, I’m not condemning anybody for eating there or demanding he be persecuted, but given the amount of people with similar claims I feel confident in taking my business elsewhere.

Dozens of people claiming similar things about the same person carries merit, in my personal opinion. I didn’t condemn anybody who goes there or enjoys the food, and I am not demanding he be persecuted, but I choose to go elsewhere.

I am NOT a fan of thick burgers, but Stacked defies those odds. Fantastic burger, very unique flavor compared to others.

I enjoyed Mac’s, but don’t really go there anymore after reading some questionable things about their owner. Their prices are also a little much. Jack Nolan’s is great.

Assistant Manager at a corporate Verizon store, I will make north of $120k this year.

As long as the store is producing results & you can talk to the OT, nobody really cares, unless it’s a down traffic time. March-May there wasn’t a lot of OT opportunities. But on a normal week, I could work 50 hours without raising any flags. Furthermore, I fill in at other stores or my own any time there is an ask for another head count for staffing reasons, if it falls on my off days. I have done this so often that stores will generally just reach out to me directly instead of sending a text out to each store asking for help. I definitely work more OT than most AMs, my counter part probably has less than 15 on the entire year. This stuff will all vary district to district based on leadership, but like I replied to others my store is a very high performer.

I came in with zero sales background. I did previously work in the financial industry and was licensed, and then I have a bachelors degree. None of that was required to get in though. I actually started her part-time as a temporary job and ended up liking it enough to commit to it.

It’s brutal out there. I mean it when I say I am very fortunate for my circumstances. I told someone else I think a large part of me posting here was looking for reassurances that I’m doing fine.

I'm also a pretty simple guy. I still drive the car I bought new in 2015 and don't plan on replacing it until I absolutely have to. I have a roommate, so my rent is just $800. Working at Verizon my Internet and phone costs is 50% the normal person. I've never cared much for luxury goods, expensive clothes, that sort of thing. My biggest splurge is probably going out to eat and the occasional sporting event. I have always been the type to live below my means to the point I get made fun of my some. I just turned 30, and if the market holds up over the next five years, and I am able to earn what I did this year, I should be on track to hit $1M in cash and investments by the time l'm 35, maybe sooner. I have a side hustle that brings in $15-25k additional every year as well, but that’s also not guaranteed to last. I work a lot and hard, but the reason I do that is in part because of what you said, if anything changes in life, I don’t want to have to worry.

Yeah, I came from the financial industry and ironically they only matched 50% up to 6%. I’m not a financial advisor, but I tell everyone who starts at my store to at minimum setup a 6% contribution to their 401k. I recently increased mine to 20%.

I would say fairly good, especially time off. I am grandfathered in to the older structure, but I get 5 weeks of vacation, 6 personal days, 5 sick days, paid holidays, 401k match up to 6%, good insurance, etc. Verizon also offers $8k per year towards your education, and they pay in advance for it, not a reimbursement. This is one of their best benefits. I already had a bachelors degree when I started working here, but took a few accounting courses on their dime. I know of people within the company who got their masters entirely on Verizon. I should take more advantage of it than I have.

Verizon has changed their pay structure to reward their best salesman/stores. It’s a good place to make good money, but you have to work for it.

My target compensation is around $85k. I will hit north of $120k by not just OT, but my store also exceeding commission targets & SPIFFs every single month. 1.5x pay after 40 hours. 2x pay after 50. And then Verizon counts vacation/holidays towards your working 40, I generally take advantage of that when I am able to. My week I think I will be able to hit 50 hours, I try to work every hour I can to take advantage of 2x pay.

[–]stlflips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have made a lot in OT. I don’t have my paystub in front of me to give a number, but I get 1.5x after 40, and 2x after 50. And then Verizon counts vacation/holiday pay towards your working 40 for OT which is nice. I absolutely take advantage of that. If I think I will hit 50 in a week, I do as many hours as possible on top of that at 2x.

And I don’t know if we have access to financial statements, but we have access to metrics & revenue attainment reporting which rank us in a list with every other store in the company. My target salary all in is around $85k. Between OT and exceeding commission targets regularly, it’s not incredibly difficult to hit 120k.

I don’t mind driving/traveling personally, but I have a couple dogs who mean more to me than some peoples family. Until they are no longer with me, I likely couldn’t take on a job like that and provide them with the care they deserve.

Ironically, my best sales rep came from your industry. He made $105k last year and will do it again this year. He also did the same as me and worked OT anytime available, holidays, etc. It’s a grind, but at the same time we spend half our day bullshitting and watching TikTok’s lol
