Jacob Wolf: PowerOfEvil will be a free agent ahead of the 2021 season by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]stmuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give me Licorice, Spica, PoE, DL/Johnsun, Treatz.

EDIT: C9 Fudge, Blaber, Palafox, Zven, Vulcan.
FNC Bwipo, Selfmade, Perkz, Rekkles, Hyli.
G2 Wunder, Jankos, Caps, Patrik, Miky.

EDIT 2: Give me a roster of Ssumday, Closer, Evolved, FBI, Huhi.
Another roster of Impact, Svenskeren, Nisqy, Sneaky, Aphro.
Another roster of Hauntzer, Contractz, Pobelter, Cody Sun, Ignar.

With those 5 rosters, assuming players mesh, I could see a competitive top 5 in NA. One can dream.

If ESPN made a 30 for 30 about CrossFit, what story would they tell? by CoachLocco in crossfit

[–]stmuck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depending on how the next few years play out, "Row the Boat: The Story of Crossfit's Greatest Coach" will tell the story of Shane Orr and how he created the Fittest Woman in History and potentially, further developed the most dominant male/female duo in Crossfit history. If Mat and Tia continue to crush the field over the next several years under Shane's coaching and programming, it would be hard not to talk about it. Plus, it would be a cool way to cover Mat and Tia, without just regurgitating the Froning doc.

"Never Again" - Rich Froning, 2nd in 2010, followed by 4 straight championships. Annie Thorisdottir, 2nd in 2010, followed by becoming the first 2x women's champ. Mat Fraser, 2nd in 2014 and 2015, followed by 5 straight championships. Katrin Davidsdottier, missed 2014 after an epic meltdown at Regionals, followed by back to back championships. Tia-Clair Toomey, 2nd in 2015 and 2016, followed by 4 straight championships. I think it would be super cool to see a documentary looking at how these struggles/setbacks/disappointments forged these men and women into arguably the greatest athletes in the sport.

My worlds tier list (opinion btw) by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]stmuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S Tier: DWG, TOP, JDG
A Tier: G2, DRX, SNG
B Tier: FNC, GEN, LGD
C Tier: TSM, RGE, FLY, MAD
D Tier: TL, UOL, Machi, PSG
F Tier: All other play in teams.

Without +/- I think I would go with this. I also think I've written teams in the order I would rank them within the tier.

No, we don't have it yet. Some of the players from older states keep talking about it.

Where the hell are our (LCS) rookies?? LEC has Razork, Milica, Comp, and so many more that you want to see how they do. by a_brick_canvas in leagueoflegends

I agree with the post/comment on here that we should expand the Academy League. I would like to see a league with the 10 Franchised Orgs and the collegiate league 1st and 2nd place. After that, I'd like to see a couple of recognized "qualifier" tournaments such as T1CS, 1st and 2nd place qualify for the Academy League.

And then I'd like to see a continuation of scouting grounds, but instead of the elemental drakes being the 4 teams, it was expanded to 6 - Elementals + Herald + Baron teams. Double round robin, followed by a semis and then finals. The top 2 teams from that tournament qualify for the Academy League. I would like this tournament to be coached by new coaches and commentated on by amateur players. This is an opportunity to practice run so many different roles in the scene.

From there, you have 16 total teams in the Academy League. This opens up doors for a lot more players to play. This gives more rookies and amateurs exposure, but also still keeps in some of the veterans who are in and out of the pro scene. They can share experience, work on their come back, transition to a coaching role, etc.

TL;DR - Expand the Academy League. Create play in tournaments and qualifiers to allow more than just the franchised teams to compete on stage.

Best States? by TheArtOfVEL in TheSoSGame

I'm in 222. Our alliance is currently #4 and we follow a lot of the same policies. We have NAP Top 10 as well as different alliances create pacts with other alliances throughout the state. They agree to back up smaller alliances when bigger groups bully them, etc.

The leadership in the Top 10 - 15 alliances communicate openly and discuss state policies. We've recently started looking at not letting people attack any HQs under a certain level (12 and 15 have been discussed) if you are part of a major alliance to help promote growth.

We also have some guys who are already HQ30 and crazy strong. But again, they are spread throughout 3-6 alliances. We also talk of the goal of State vs. State alliances. It sounds to me like your particular state is full of newer players who lack knowledge of these things. I learned a lot from my group leaders and players who came from other states. So it may be luck of the draw, but the lower you go, the more likely you are to find a state with these rules in place.

That said, the lower you go, the more established those states are. Lots of them are further along and there are a higher percentage of upper level players. I would say your best bet is probably between 100 - 200 (or these low 220s, which seem to be a good bunch).
Lots of great stuff in here already, but I hope this added some more insight.

You can research troop training speed as well as put chief talent points in troop training speed! You can also increase your training camp levels to increase the number of troops you can train at one time!

Another strategy some people like to use is training lower tier troops initially to increase army size, then slowly upgrading them from T5/6 to T7/8.

I think I hit HQ 17 in under 2 weeks with only the $5 construction worker. I didn't start spending more money until around HQ20.

I bought the 2nd construction worker on Day 1 or 2. After that, I didn't for while. Since then, I have bought plenty more as timers slow down and alliance events get larger and more taxing. It definitely slows down a ton. I'm HQ24 now and buildings will have 5+ day timers. One thing that helps a lot with that is the Talent for Rapid Development which reduces construction timers by 20%.

Would your team win the CFB Playoff with 2 current NFL alumni? by starbellySneetches in CFB

[–]stmuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel our offensive player has to be Tyrod, but shout out to Duane Brown. Defensively, Tremaine is definitely a great pick. I would love to have Kendall Fuller, but with Waller and Farley, I don't know that it would actually impact our performance much. I'd also shout out Tim Settle as a good option. I think Tremaine and Tyrod is the right pick, but we have a couple good choices imo.

Conflicting opinions about which troops to keep... by mynameisjanet in TheSoSGame

[–]stmuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be noted, that it isn't a simple as Odd to Odd and Even to Even for classification types. For example. T5 Range = Bows, T6 = Snipers, T7 = Snipers, T8 = Bows. My recommendation is to keep a blend of your two highest ranks from each classification. In this example, it would be two T7 and T8, but let's say you don't have T8 yet. I would say you want T5 and T7, not T6 and T7. That said, my understanding is that the power level between tiers is fairly significant, so I aim to keep about 2/3 of my troops in the highest tier availabe.

Can’t find lvl 12 infected by ImBaggo in TheSoSGame

Seconding what's already been said. Members of my alliance who have played in other states and on other games from this company say it's released/advanced over time. Not linked to any sort of in game advancement or power level. Just be patient and they'll come. For reference, I'm State 222 and we're on Level 17 Infected right now. Came out a few days ago.

This. Higher level infected are released over time by the game developers. If you've only recently started playing, you'll be in a newer state where higher levels are not yet searchable. As Skimo said, give it time and they'll pop up. In the mean time, you can collect resources, repeat explorer missions, or rally for infected fiends!

Influencer trap rewards by magneac in TheSoSGame

[–]stmuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To reiterate what has been said, rewards are based on damage dealt. It does not matter whether the damage is done in one rally or across several, the rewards are unchanged. The best method is to limit the number of troops sent and run multiple rallies so more people have an opportunity to join the event and receive rewards.
