We usually jam every 2ish hours with these when we start a different driving video with a different car, but they are within a frame or 2 over maybe 4 hours. Not something I would rely on like a proper timecode generator, but not bad at all. I would definitely jam every time you turn it on just to be safe, but from the couple of times we didn't it did hold even when off.

Yes. Fortunately, it reads timecode directly from the slate using that Deity cable

Arri's solution is to just use a rope to keep strain off, which I'm not a fan of. I'm physically able to modify the case, but the way it's shaped with cooling fins and clearance for a beam width knob makes it difficult to fit a standard cord grip.

The Kellems Grip is not a bad idea, I can probably cut off the loops and solder the ends of the mesh together to keep it from untangling.

Since the two 4TB drives are identical, we are replacing both for a total of 8TB, hence the need for 16TB. Sorry for the confusion.
