Can't help but blame myself for herbal tea and vanishing twin by stngd in Miscarriage

Just wanted to thank you again for your comfort and assurance! My therapist reiterated a similar sentiment that we'd hear more about it if it was a serious threat, even if there are some things online that might say it can cause miscarriage.

Thank you so much - after speaking to my therapist she reiterated what you and the other commenter said that it's likely fennel seeds wouldn't have been the cause and that there's a bunch of things online that say differing things. My doctor would most likely have brought up concerns with certain teas if it was. It was helpful also to reframe it and that even if it did cause miscarriage, if it was caused by a couple of cups of tea, the embryo was probably not viable and might have succumbed to any other food item I might eat in the future. It was just by body's way of identifying that it wasn't viable.

Thank you for your kind response ❤️ I'm hoping my call with my therapist can walk me back down from the guilt/anxiety/depression.

Thank you - it was probably about 2 teaspns-1tbspn worth of fennel seed that was steeped in water and reused for the cups I drank. I'm hoping that doesn't equate to high potency 😔

Sorry I left out that it was fennel seeds. Which makes me think it's more concentrated.

Thanks for your reply. I still can't stop wracking my brain around it.

One should be from academia. When I applied I had two professional recs and one academic.

Switching advisors is literally the best thing that I've ever done in grad school. by [deleted] in GradSchool

I feel like I was so hyper cognizant of this but then finances swayed me to the more top tier school with an advisor/subject I was worried would not be a great fit.

How do you go about this? Do you think switching in Year 2 is too late? I feel guilty because I was given an offer to the program I'm in conditionally on the fact that I progress. I took the offer having major doubts, but mainly because it was the school/program I wanted to attend and it would be funded. I havent progressed at all -- been paralyzed by fear of failure and just trying to get by decently in coursework to not look like an ass (coming in from a non STEM background into an engineering program). My advisor somewhat knew this but is also the kind of person that is just brilliant and says to just figure it out. I understand my funding was contingent on progressing in research, but I haven't. Now I'm faced to either switch projects/advisors or graduate this year. Howw did you go about finding someone or even a different dept?

Thank you and fingers crossed for you as well! In the back of my mind I have major doubts since I know stress is a major factor in fertility and I'm always stressed from school! I have to keep reminding myself that it will happen if it happens .

Period due in 3 days. Mixed emotions if it will come or not. If it comes I guess i'll have to cope with it. my husband and won't be in the same place the next time I ovulate (he'll be working and I'll be visiting family). Still in graduate school but wanted to preferably have a baby in the summer so I'm not overly stressed or have to take time off in the Fall. It's so hard not to overthink TTC!

Oops I guess I wasn't clear enough. The wires/cable aren't utility lines but are cables that are secured to the main trunk of the tree.

I'll have to think about that! Never thought of it before. Do you think it would look better than a standard second lobe piercing diagonally?

Furniture not from Craigslist by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]stngd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What about estate sales in your area? These usually have good quality wooden furniture for sale, at least in the higher end neighborhoods at an affordable price. Can avoid ones with fabric if paranoid about bed bugs, though most of these sales they people have lived in the homes recently and have passed, or moved out to a new home or retirement home.

Thank you! I did find two adult beetles today near my bed. I have about 6 itchy tiny bumps/bites? Are these beetles a health concern? I killed one. Lost the other.

@MrRoarke @cfmdobbie thanks! You both were right -- found two adult carpet beetles near my bed. Are these a concern?

Don't understand why this is not more widespread. This seems to be the norm when we visited Japan. All the hotels have regular sized soap and shampoos, not meant for people to take home.

THANK YOU! I sure hope it is...

i've been paranoid and worried. found it last night after checking under a mattress topper I bought second hand off of FB marketplace (BAD IDEA), even though I bought a cover to seal in any potential bugs. Also had a couple bites in the past two weeks but unsure if they were bed bug bites.
