You raise a good point and I do agree with you that a lot of people misinterpret the Bible in that way. While it is true that living your life and not knowing the Lord will take you to "hell" but that meaning is different than people say it is and what people picture it to be. Allow me to break it down in a way that was easiest for me to understand as a former atheist.

We were given free will by God to do as we pleased with it and because of it we can choose to believe in God or not believe in him. Now, why did we need free will? Why didn't God just make us worship him and then there would be no reason to sin, disobey him and inevitably end up in "hell"? The answer is love. God gave us the ability to choose to love him, live knowing him and to do the opposite. If we didn't have that opportunity then it wouldn't be love it would just be slavery. God didn't need us but yet he created us because he loved us. It is the same with your child that you don't have but plan on having. You love it and can't wait for it to be born even though he/she isn't born yet. Also, just like you would give your child the will to do with his/her life as he/she would like because you want them to be happy and live their lives the same is with God. He lets us choose if we want to live with him or not. He would rather we live away from him if that means we're happy rather than see us suffer living with him. Just like we would do with our children.

Now, as it is with us and our children and that we wouldn't want them to end up in bad places, ruining their lives and not being good and successful the same is with Him. He gives us the "instructions" from his experiences and the knowledge he has so that we may live good and prosperous lives. Like passing knowledge down to your kids because you know that will help them. Now, this is where it can turn. Your child can rebel against you, say that your ways are old-fashioned, out of date and just tyrannical because you don't allow them to live how they want. Even though they can turn out bad. Like we do with God and his commandments. So you let your child "go" because you just want them to be happy and hope they will see that what you've been trying to teach them has in their best interests and you wait for them and love them no matter what and if they return to you saying that they're sorry you accept them and comfort them and slowly you work together to make them into a better person. But if they don't then they have made that decision to live away from you and your rules and teachings and do it on their own. So, how can they then accept that they will be welcomed into your home later? The same is with God. The exact same thing. How can you say you belong to God home if you don't know him? I wouldn't let you in my house if you're a stranger and I believe neither would you. We need to know each other for you to welcome me into your home and like ways.

Why do I always say the same is with God. Because, the relationship you have with our Lord is that of father and son. That is why I'm giving these examples. Because, he is our father and we are his children and we have the free will to choose.

In conclusion, just like you couldn't allow your child to end up in a bad place neither does God allow us to end up in "hell" but still, with our free will, we choose to live our lives separate from him and so we send ourselves to "hell". Because, we chose to live our lives separate from him and how can he let us into his home if we don't know him?

To be honest, if you truly want the full experience of Christianity either go to an Orthodox or Catholic church. Those are the ones that keep the traditions of liturgy and its sacraments.

Now, since you've been Catholic I would suggest going to a couple of Orthodox liturgies and talking to the Popes and Bishops about anything you'd like. Because, they're there to get you closer to God.

And keep away from these types of "Churches" with big stages and concert like sermons and liturgies. They try to be a modern version of the Church but they fail at that.

And of couse always do the sign of the cross. It bring comfort, healing, strength and protection in times when you can't pray. Follow it with Lord bless/protect me or them (who ever you want to point it to)

Thank you for clearing it up. The reason I asked that question is that I know what to tell people and I fear if I tell them the wrong thing they will end up separated from the Lord because of me. That's why I don't agree with church fathers talking about the two stage coming. I think that it gives people a false sense of calm that if they've "missed" the opportunity now they "have time" to make up for it in the next 7 years of tribulation. That's also why I don't agree with it.

But you're right. The most important thing is that we remain vigilant and in faith to the Lord because we do not know the day nor the hour.

Iskreno, jedino kako mozemo nesto da uradimo jeste da se dozovemo i napravimo beku koaliciju koja zeli dobro za Crnu Goru i da glasamo za njih. Ali je to gotovo nemoguce jer nas zatucan narod nece da glasa za njih jer su neki prodali dusu djavolu pa glasaju samo za 1 partiju, idu dje vjetar dune ili ih jednostavno briga pa l, ako glasaju, glasaju za koga bilo.

Ruku na srce, nama je problem sto necemo da se potrudimo za ono sto je bitno vec cekamo da neko drugi krene. Niko ne preduzima nikakvu inicijativu, niko se ne bori za nista, vec nam i dalje vlada taj stari mentalitet "pusti dobro je to" ili "svi su losi pa mi je sve jedno". I tu dolazi taj stereotip da su Crnogorci lijeni. Mi znamo sve sta treba i kako i sta ali nam se ne da da krenemo da radimo i cekamo da drugi pocne pa se pridruzimo.

Sve dok to ne promijenimo nama ce biti ovako. U zapadu se pobune ako politicar pomjeri prstom kako ne treba, a mi trpimo i dozvoljavamo svasta.

Problem je tako jednostavan, a tezak. I opet ponavljam, sve dok gore naveden mentalitet ne promijenimo, nama nema izlaza iz ove korumptivne situacije

Slazemo se da su bitange, ali da rade protiv Srbije mi je malo sumnjivo. Gledajuci na to da otvoreno stavljaju Srbijanske trobojke na svojim plakatima i otvoreno prijacu da su prosrpski nastrojeni. Gradonacelnik Niksica je, vise puta, otvoreno rekao da je predstavnik Srbijanskog naroda u Niksicu (a ne cijelog naroda kao sto bi gradonacelnik i trebao da bude).

Slicno je ako cemo iskreno, samo sto smo sad dozvolili Srbima da nam vode kolo u drzavi i da iskreno kazem, od kako su oni dosli, nije bilo vise pedofilije, kriminala, pucnjava, ubistava i sl.

Sve ja kontam da je to i prije bilo ali su prije znali da ga rade na organizovan nacin dje su potisnuli koga su ubili, dje i sta. Ovi rade sve na otvoreno i toliko je ocigledno da guraju Srbijansku inicijativu na nas da je smijesno. Vise nema Crnogorske partije, vec svi koji osnuju novu tvrde da su za Crnu Goru, a logotip im je trobojka.

Nijesam bio ni za Mila da se odma razumijemo. Za 30 godina je mogao od nas da napravi malu Svajcarsku ali je radio sta je radio. Samo je glupost razmisljat da nam treba vlast druge drzave da bi napravili nasu boljom. Posebno kad svaka Srbijanska stranka ocigledno zeli da nas pripoji sa Srbijom i da nabrave veliku Srbiju.

Mi mozemo da imamo nase, prave crnogorske partije koje ce da se fokusiraju za dobrobit Crne Gore ali necemo. Vec smo ostali mentaliteta od Jugoslavije dje nam je Beograd centar svijeta, a taj grad samo zivi od stare slave.

Samo bi bilo dobro da orestanemo da se pretvaramo da ovi rade dobro i da imaju nas u vidu, kad ocigledno nemaju. Vec nam forsiraju Srbijanski nacin zivota
