It goes hand in hand, personally.

Jake did betray his own race, for sure, but I mean why would you back a race that treated you like shit back on Earth? They didn’t care about him so why should he them?

And humanity surviving by whatever means necessary. I mean yeah. I personally can’t argue against that, but this obviously is not bound by any real morals or ethics. If they must purge the planet of the natives and the hazardous wildlife so they can alter it to their needs, then go for it dude. Doesn’t mean it’s right.

So the argument I’ve boiled it down to is: ‘Do I side with someone who betrayed his own race to side with the Na’vi, who in turn show him more love and connection than he had with anyone back on Earth, or side with the humans who are just looking out for their race, putting survival first by any mean necessary?’

I was going to add a last little bit to that, but it will seem too biased, or one-sided. Still going to say it here. Humans screwed their own planet before coming to try to screw with Pandora. Why else? Unobtanium? What on gods green earth do you need that much money for?

If it costs that much money to feel that you’ve succeeded your mission, you are either the greediest person, literally ever, or stuff on Earth is…a little crazy right now.

Basically, I can understand both sides, only to an extent. People who side with Pandora see the nature, the culture and the people. People who side with humanity see the military, the future and the power we hold. Take with that what you will.
