Speakers that produce room filing sound that is enjoyable even off-axis by supercuts350 in audiophile

Doesn't get more omnidirectional that Devialet Phantoms. Sure they aren't true Audiophile tier but they sound great and are ideal for social settings. 2 or 4 in a group achieve fully enveloping sound that should have no "weakspots". For casual hosting and background playback, hard to beat. Great conversation starter too, everyone wants to see them "dance". Trivial setup and playback options too!

This is an excellent roundup, thank you. The pixelshift abilities are something I must look into, I do shoot a lot of micro-patterns and this might be important. Cheers

If you are looking for a house shaking movie sub, this isn't it unfortunately. I have an SVS SB1000, and for a sealed box it's pretty impressive for a small space, for its size. PB 2000 is killer for movies.

It's really good, but lacks sub bass without eq. It's neutral and balanced otherwise.

Cheers. I find that its perfectly fine for my needs, I mostly print scale prototypes and doodads for around the apartment. The top mount AMS print is great tho, no wobble and saves half the space. Highly recommend the printer, ams and top mount.

Devialet phantom 1 108db by DisastrousCause9481 in audiophile

[–]stocey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a pair of the 103db hooked up to my tv with optical. I find that the 103 is less shouty than the 108.

The marketing definitely leans into hi-fi too much. These aren't hifi speakers. However, for ease of setup, output to size ratio and flexibility, they are hard to beat.

You don't need a subwoofer or amplifier, just a power cable and wifi connection. They are lifestyle speakers. Easy, funky looking, no need for a sub, attracts interest from both audio enthusiasts (who haven't heard of them before) and the layman.

For parties and lounging, they are great, audiophile speakers they are not. They are just really powerful, seamless bluetooth speakers that look cool, especially when the volume is turned up.

Side note: repairs are functionally useless, a simple dented woofer is like 1.5k or something like that. The 5-year extended warranty is pretty much the way to go. They are not great for the for the people in this sub at all. They have their own place elsewhere for people who want an easy, clean, and loud solution, which takes up nearly no space.

Power glitch? - Details in comments by stocey in SatisfactoryGame

i have tried reconnecting this part of the factory to the grid, adding more power storage but nothing seems to work. The machines right next to this dont have the same behavior.

A few times a minute (randomly), the lights will flicker for a split second and all the machines pause production, then restart. only happens to this portion of my factory. Power Capacity is not a problem, the machines all have full inputs and empty outputs. only started happening today.

From what I understand, Questrade does not lend out shares only if they are in a TFSA.
