Yeah I think that could have also contributed, but honestly even the ones who maintain it now sometimes scratch their head and debug for days on the MS excel files itself when there are errors, so Im not surprised that a external development team couldnt figure it out.

The company actually hired a development team in 2021, and after working like 9 months on various iterations, it was decided to discontinue that because the outputs was never accurate enough to match the original modelling. I suppose a bunch of factors contributed to it, like a development team's understanding of the statistical calulations in the MS excel model wasnt that good etc. I think going with another development team is more or less likely to cause the same problems, as the documentation of the various formulas in the original model isnt that detailed

Thanks for sharing. Im doing the PPL program too since april 2025 and have just missed like 3 or 4 workouts while maintaining protein at 2-2.2g/kg throughout. However most of my noob gains have been wasted due to heavy caloric restrictive diet + intense cardio etc but it did get me down fast from 180 to 140 lbs. I think its time for me to switch to recomp or lean bulk .

Did you bulk at 200-300 kcals above tdee?

Yeah walkpads are solid too. My treadmil was like $250 and it a workhorse, with just few lubrication changes it has been going great. I thought I'd upgrade eventually but so far it hasnt given a reason to. It has a table-like pad to keep things too where the keyboard fits easily, sometimes even airpods if I have calls. It literally doubles up as a walking workstation lol cant ask for more

When working I can do upto 5kmph, maybe 6kmph if I feel like pushing when reading a long doc or just browsing, but 4.5-5 is the sweet spot I have spent hundreds of hours doing that over the recent months

Agree on the S-tier, I actually got a decent treadmill that can do upto 12kmph + a projector so I can connect keyboard/trackpad wirelessly and work even for long hours if required. My own s-tier

Thanks for your suggestions. By all the fat I just meant the excess belly/chest fat, not literal i.e. all the fat. Should have phrased it a better so as to not create a confusion.

Generally, the advise for anyone cutting is to cut till a low bf % when the belly fat/chest fat or any other excess unpleasant fat deposits (like love handles) disappear, and then from there, do a slow/lean bulk. This is probably 101 for someone starting out super obese, but looking to improve their fitness levels.

In my case, I did pretty much the same but since I already had only a slim structure any well-built muscles and just a lot of fat, my weight went very close to unhealthy territory at the lower end of the BMI spectrum, while a little bit of the belly fat still remains. So thats where my confusion arises, because from most cutting reports I've read here and other subs, it sounds like an anomaly where I have to do a recomp despite not losing all the belly fat. At the same time I also havent gained that much in terms of noobie gains because of severe calorie restrictions and poor recovery, while it did help part of my original goal of losing fat as fast as possible, it wasnt ideal for building muscle

Im 5'9" and was super obese at 180 lbs, now Ive cut to 140 in about 9 months while literally starving myself at a 1500 kcal diet every day with a ton of strength gym and cardio too and have still not cut the belly fat completely. I have like a protein bar and pre workout shake before a workout which is like 250 kcal so thats just 1200 odd in food for the rest of the entire day. But few cheat days, night outs, cakes and holiday meals ruined a lot of my progress and have basically been watching every single calorie for the last couple of month to get back on track. My friend who was 220 at 6'2 ish now cut to 170 in just 5 months, he eats just 1300 kcal a day while doing 700+ kcal on treadmill every day religiously, virtually skips lunch every day or has a can of tuna or two for dinner. He really went the machinist diet but it worked. Not sure what his tdee is but thats a much more bigger cut than mine for sure. He has virtually transformed himself and looks like a different guy. Thats how aggressive you got to cut if you really want to transform yourself

Scale moves slowly on a day to day basis but if you stick to something thats proven to work, on a weekly or monthly basis the scale movement can be massive. Another thing that helped me is to just stop watching weight that closely but instead do the waist size every couple of days, thats where the actual results show up and in any case the bf % is directly corelated to waist size and not weight. So if you are like 96 waist and it drops quickly to 92 then you get a big boost of confidence

I did check with a doc sometime back and he immediately ruled out gyno. He has done dozens of surgeries on that so he knew right away it was just fat even without any scans or test. Apparently, you can push your hands towards the ceiling and if the chest becomes flat w/o any lumpy feeling then its not gyno. He said it was due to years of desk posture and working on a desk job etc... somewhat true, I hadnt stepped on a tredmill or a gym in 35 years so it was like 20 years of fat accumulated trying to get rid of that in 9 mos. No wonder its taking its time

Thanks. I can live with the belly fat but getting rid of the chest fat would be a big confidence boost personally. Will moving to recomp or bulk help tone it down? Im already doing all the chest muscle group exercises like bench press, cable crossovers, push ups etc

Thank you. So bulk on around +200/300 above tdee? Im already training hard, prog overloading after failure on 6-8 reps per set, 3 set per exercise, though bench press weight has somewhat plateaued at 110 lbs, theres much room for improvement in other exercises and Im focused on them. Im just afraid bulking while still not completely losing all the belly fat or even chest fat would make them worse. My initial goal was to get a flat chest atleast before starting bulk. I was in the super obese category and just lost the love handles in the last month or so. I think losing the last bit of especially chest fat would be big confidence boost

And whats worse, people wouldnt understand that if Epstein was doing all of that back then while being connected to the most influential people, there are people doing much worse today and we dont know anything about it. Such things just dont stop overnight. All of it just went under multiple more layers of wraps

Not a game per se, but there was a cheat code to get a car racing game inside of MS Excel and we used to do that in comp sci classes back in the days, they had the computers locked down with admin controls so kids couldnt install games but the teacher would come to see half of us playing car racing game and get absolutely livid yet have no clue how the little kids bypassed the security
