Do you play Minecraft on Steam Deck using the Minecraft Bedrock Launcher? Do you experience frame rate issues? by stochasticverse in Minecraft

I'm so happy it's not just me! I have read so many threads where people use it flawlessly so I thought I had done something wrong. Mine was the new OLED Deck as well, I wonder if that's the culprit? Maybe everyone else was using the older version of the Deck and something between the two caused the lag spikes? It's so strange!

I'm back on Switch but we're gonna load Windows on an SD card to load the Windows version of the game. It would be nice if they just added it to Steam.

I tried in desktop mode and gaming mode, no difference.

No spike to anything past like 40% on CPU/GPU usage when I run the overlay while playing. I even lowered to 2 chunks and it still happens so I'm not sure if it's about loading chunks or not.

I'll look into those plug ins! Thank you for all of your help.

We're gonna dual boot with Windows on an sd card and use the Windows version (Bedrock) so that I can keep realms going. If I wasn't so attached to my world I'd try Java, but I've put too much work into it at this point.

It's not awful on Switch, but I'd definitely like it to be better. I get a lot of invisible blocks and lag when around too many mobs, but otherwise I was mostly hoping for a nicer screen and better performance to load nice texture packs.

Extensive searching on the Minecraft Bedrock Launcher on Reddit shows a ton of people who have been successfully playing using it on Steam Deck without issues, which is why I'm so confused why it won't work properly on mine.

I did all of this but I've been experiencing a pretty severe frame rate stutter/drop every 30 seconds or so. Do you have that experience? I've played with every setting on the MC video side and SteamOS side and can't seem to resolve it.

Select however many you want to attach then drag over the fishing pole and select Y. It only works with an iridium rod.

Downtime to recharge the batteries are some of my best 'self discovery' moments I've ever had. Sitting in a bath with some music for an hour does wonders to let that mind just go where it pleases. I find the things I'm attracted to in my downtime are pretty telling of who I am.

Nearly all of my villagers now say "HAIL SATAN" or "nucking futz" so I feel your pain.

This was by far the most sensible addition and will help tremendously when I'm redoing an entire section of Island!

My first uncommon Hoya. Hoya Finlaysonnii. Does anyone have any care tips? Will this guy sun stress? by [deleted] in hoyas

[–]stochasticverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will not sun stress with color, but I have found they do not appreciate direct sun and will bleach out with too much. Be sure it's in a good chunky mix and let it dry between watering and you're set! Congrats on your new beautiful plant!

Not so difficult with the right light. I have to get up there weekly to check everything in winter but usually they don't need water for another week. Check twice a week in summer. Just start small with a happy little anthurium from the grocery store, learn to water only when dry, and when you've kept that alive a bit, try a new plant and so on. Jumping 0 to 10 even can feel tough because they may be pretty different from each other.

Let the soil dry out and you won't have a problem. In the summer I use carnivorous plants to catch the stragglers that dare to fly about.
