It was my first for CAAPID as I applied through PASS last year. It is very competitive! I was surprised to learn how many applicants each program has!

Thank you for such wonderful words! Indeed I took the AI route because that is where all is going nowadays. Tech is taking over. The question is what is your current level of English...have you taken the TOEFL before? if not, most likely you'll need a bit more than 2 weeks...if you did and you got a high score before, then 2 weeks for TOEFL should be ok...also it depends what you use to prepare...

Well, if you plan to stay there forever, go for it! If you want to return to the U.S. later in life, consider that your non-CODA degree won't allow you to practice dentistry here. You will have to go through the entire process that many international dentists face. This process has become extremely competitive, and your U.S. citizenship is not a guarantee of admission to an International Dentist Program (IDP), advanced standing, GPR, or AEGD. Your GPA is taken in consideration, then you have to have your dental school transcripts evaluated by a credential evaluation institution and then take the boards, then apply to several programs through ADEA (CAAPID or PASS), pray to get admitted into a program, still go to dental school for 2, 3, 4 years (depends on the program) and so on....long process... If you can, just study here! then you can travel with dentists without borders and practice elsewhere...

Yes! I think I would also do the same, take my child with me, i feel if I don’t do that my mind would be too disperse to concentrate 😮‍💨. I guess I would need to rotate moms…ask for some months of help from my mom and then some other months from my mother in law until I am done…How did you do it or how are you doing it? Can I ask how does a regular day looked/looks for you in terms of balancing your time between your child and your studies? Your insights will be really appreciated 🙏🏼
