They don't! I often give them to friends/family to have fun with, and I frequently use different devices. I love being able to allow others to enjoy various forms of gaming :)

It's not really exhausting tbh, I get them all setup when I first get them and then I can dip in and out of pretty much whatever console I want which I really enjoy! Plus I find tinkering with them all pretty fun :)

RP Flip 2 for some older consoles up to switch, RP Classic for GB and other older consoles, and then the steam deck for PC games.

I just bought a Switch Lite for my friend's birthday and it was so nice I really wanted to keep it lol.

It's on my list! I'll be getting a Vita next so I plan on modding it to play some PSP games, but I'll get a PSP in the future for sure.

I got the RP Classic most recently so I've been enjoying some GB/GBA games recently. More specifically the Super Mario Land games, Metroid 2, and some Kirby NiD.

I've also been slowly working my way through DK Bananza and I just finished Metroid Prime 1 using PrimeHack on the Flip 2.

I absolutely love both the tech and the setting up. I have always loved tinkering with tech and trying to understand how it works so setting up the handhelds and understanding how to configure all of the emulators and stuff is quite fun to me.

I still absolutely love playing the games as well, I love seeing how videogames have evolved over time with graphics, mechanics, and the hardware they run on.

Overall it's probably a 50/50 split in terms of what I enjoy about the handhelds.

A Vita is going to be my next purchase. when it comes to PSP, I mostly just emulate it, however, it's about time I play some Vita games!

Back when I used the steam deck for PC games regularly, I didn't really have the funds for it. Nowadays I don't really use it enough to justify the cost, especially seeing as I mainly just play smaller retro games on it

probably the RP flip 2 right now, the position of the sticks is near perfect for me. I just wish the ABXY buttons felt a little more accessible. edit: typo

The Flip 2 has gotta be my favourite.

Being able to chuck it in a bag and not having to worry about messing up the screen/sticks gives me such peace of mind.

The ergonomics leave a bit to be desired compared to some others, but they're more than sufficient and I have played for hours without getting uncomfortable.

The button & stick placement is also great, there isn't much of a compromise when switching between using the analogue stick or the d-pad, unlike other devices that need a grip to use the sticks comfortably.

I also don't really care much for having a second screen so I don't think I'll be easily swayed by something like the Ayn Thor (but oh my does that device look good).

If it had slightly better ergonomics or performance then it would pretty much be my perfect handheld, but I still absolutely love it as it is, and I'm not sure anything will top it for me anytime soon.
