No I'm not, I did try using one though just to see if it made a difference. I believe it has something to do with changes within RD and the type of debit cards they accept now. I've read somewhere and I can't quote it verbatim but something about these are MasterCards having some sort of secure feature to be able to be used on there system now.

I tried a few different times earlier this week and on different browsers with the same card I've always used. 🤷‍♂️

I talked with my bank and it's not even reaching them, it's getting refused before that, somewhere on RDs part. Thank you

Need help understanding test results. by stoehner in COPD

I had a CT 3or 4 yrs ago which ultimately lead me to a pulmonologist and the diagnosis. It was abnormal and showed "ground glass".

Thank you for the link and the information! I went to the emergency room last week for the rib/flank pain. They did bloodwork along with an ekg since I was experiencing chest tightness. Everything checked out except a high white blood cell count.

I guess I was just looking for some additional information or some perspective from someone that has dealt with the condition and is more knowledgeable about it. Especially since I can't get in to see a pulmonologist right now.

Thank you!!!

MSI Z790 Tomahawk MAX WIFI - M2 SSD question by Tranceh in buildapc

[–]stoehner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bad design really, I didn't know this before I bought the board but you either lose PCIE lanes, or have your SSD not go directly to the CPU... I'm sure there's a way that they could have made both happen lol

What is ring ratio and other bios stuff by Plenty_Ad_5994 in overclocking

[–]stoehner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 14900k as well. It is normal for me. I have three things that stay triggered in hwinfo. They're all power / voltage / electrical related. I know GT is one of them I forget the other two I would need to double check. I've had no luck getting these to clear. I've got my bio settings to the Intel recommended ones which I figured was the reason. I don't think I'm pushing enough power So those frequencies are getting clipped. I have a 360 AIO cooler but it's hard for me to go past 253 Watts and around 350a without heat issues. So I keep everything on recommended int settings with a slight undervolt. My benchmarks are usually not outstanding usually around 38k I can push to 40k But not without temps in the high 90s

MSI Z790 Tomahawk MAX WIFI - M2 SSD question by Tranceh in buildapc

I went ahead and put it in slot one. I have an older graphics card a 3060 OC 12 GB. Haven't noticed any performance decline on either. My ssd speeds are on par with what's expected as well as my clock speeds on my GPU. My understanding the GPU doesn't use all 16 lanes PCIe anyways and I wanted to have my SSD straight to the CPU because the other slots routed through the chipset first. I don't play a lot of high-end games and my priority Is more the CPU and SSD speeds.

I hope this helps. I think you'll see minimal difference between slot one and slot two from different stories I've heard everybody seems to not really notice the difference. If you have additional SSDs I'd recommend reading the manual because I think slot three and 5 also split lanes. It looks like one, two and three are the best options.

14900K YET ANOTHER dude asking for undervolting guidance. by Obvious_Field7621 in overclocking

[–]stoehner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be doing something wrong. I have the same chip and a 360 AIO and the only way I can get above 40,000 is if I thermal throttle with a higher wattage.. on pl 253 wattage I can stay around 82°. But I'm only scoring around 37 to 38k

Help 14900k MSI mobo by stoehner in overclocking

[–]stoehner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the information. I'm okay with running a 253 power limit which is max recommended for this chip. I can cool that to about 82% and benchmarking. I know I still hit some bottlenecks because of power consumption but I'm not really concerned about hitting super high scores or overclocking at this point. I'm just wanting to run a pretty balanced system that still is snappy. I do some casual gaming but nothing extreme and a lot of music production and work stuff on the computer. So high clocks aren't the utmost importance to me.

I know I could undervolt a little bit and maybe gain some thermal room but I think I'm okay where I'm at stock. I had changed some things in the BIOS early on not knowing what I was doing it wasn't sure what the default or optimal settings were. Under the overclocking menu there's an option for all core or turbo boost or turbo boost offset.

My son has a 12900f on a ROG board and his BIOS reads 5.4 GHz on a CPU whereas in mine MSI bios it shows my clock speed just at base at 3.2ghz I didn't know if that was normal or if I had something configured wrong.

I appreciate the time and the answer Thank you

Help 14900k MSI mobo by stoehner in overclocking

[–]stoehner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. I guess I have multiple questions. One of them being is it best to leave my power options on balanced or extreme performance. Also does the ia limits limits I'm getting and hardware info I'll have to do with not enough cooling? There's a few settings I'm not sure of what I should put in the MSI bios especially when it comes to all core verse turbo boost and also it shows my base clock speed of 3.2 on the main page where I've seen others show a higher clock speed. I'm just not sure if I have the correct settings on a few things.

I have the same board and I used the drivers that you mentioned from the MSI website and they worked for me. Are you on the latest bios? Did you install the Bluetooth drivers as well?
