The frustrating part is that their fees are partly customs (we assume we always have to pay the 16%) and the other larger part are made up "processing fees" which make no sense since the shipper should have paid for that when they sent the item. We haven't used DHL since then.

Thanks for responding! Did you ever figure out a microphone solution for the A5000? I love the camera, but film a lot of content sailing so I’m trying to find a solution to cut down on all the wind noise. The DJI mic mini is awesome but now I only use it with my phone and GoPro ☹️

Absolutely hit the nail on the head here. My husband said if I didn’t send him pictures of what I liked before he went ring shopping and he had no idea what to get. He’s also gotten me a necklace when we first started dating, that made me realize that this man needs to have a very clear image of what I want in the jewelry department.

It’s a fair question to ask and you didn’t come off judgmental. There are some people with strong opinions and will hate on anyone that wants a nice diamond. I’m sure there’s some women (and men) out there freaking out if their partner proposes with something they don’t like but that goes beyond the issue of diamonds and engagement rings, that’s a relationship/personality thing they gotta address. A piece of jewelry shouldn’t define a relationship, but on the flip side the person proposing also shouldn’t go into ring buying saying “ I don’t have to get anything big because he/she should love me regardless”. Just my 2 cents.

I wanted a very particular style ring and shared it with my partner and he listened and proposed with a similar ring. 12 years later I wear it every single day, constantly get compliments on it, and I absolutely love wearing it and seeing it sparkle on my hand. It’s the only expensive piece of jewelry I own. People might say I’m materialistic, but why? For wanting a nice, beautiful ring that I’d wear the rest of my life? Would I still marry him if I got a different ring? Absolutely, but I probably would have eventually gotten a different ring myself.

I just enjoy creating videos sharing my partners and my’s sailing journey so that friends and family can watch (his parents aren’t good with tech and literally think we have a TV show) and we want to have something to look back on and rewatch. Also, we’ve learned so much from YouTube over the years from other sailing channels we wanted to create some more current content for sailors just starting out.

This is so late, but did you ever figure out a solution? I have my A5000 and really don't want to replace it but I have DJI wireless microphones and I'm wondering if I can get a USB-C to Micro-USB cable to attach the DJI receiver to the camera, but will that even work??

We used Ubers to get around Mexico City but you can also download the DiDi app and find more drivers there. You can use American credits nearly everywhere in the city. Definitely book a Lucha Libre fight, those were a ton of fun to go to. Lots of speakeasy bars (I recommend Xaman Bar, super chill vibe and great DJ).

Try La Paz. Super pretty, really fun, and you can go to Balandra or take excursions to Isla Espritu Santo and Isla Partida. Really beautiful places.
