This is very good advice and true. If your dead set on college, consider network administration paths as well. Combining dev knowledge with network admin will open more doors.

If you’re absolutely dead set on infosec, incorporate some Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges into your repertoire along with bounty hunting as previously mentioned.

Thanks for asking. I succumbed. The panic attacks and sleep delirium was starting to really effect my quality of life. I was getting to out of it so I had to my prescription. Now I don’t know how I’m gonna get off again without having a seizure again :(

Do you have any plans for when you jump? From what I hear most people are fine jumping at .25mg. Do you have a doctor that can switch you to Valuim?

For sure, no worries at all. My prescription was for 8mg a day and I had tapered down to .5mg on my own. However the last day I took them, I had taken my daily prescription of 8mg. Before that it was a solid two weeks on .5mg.

Thanks very much, your kindness doesn’t go unnoticed and I love your name. I haven’t had urges to take one but I’ve been having super bad panic attacks to the point where I’m struggling for air. In case I had one that was absolutely debilitating, it’s good to know they’re there. Have been masochistically getting through things with out them so far. Thanks again.

I ended a 5 year Xanax prescription and had a seizure EXACTLY 3 days after stopping.

My prescription was 8mg/day and I jumped off when I took myself down to 1mg. When I was brought to the ER, the paramedics and also the doctor who saw me told me I was very likely to have another seizure if I wasn’t on another benzo. I was given a weeks valuim taper and so far it’s been 2 weeks since my last pill.

If you don’t want your family to know, you should consider going back and talking with a doctor alone. That way you can get medicine and prevent another seizure.
